        Armenia President visits MOD (PHOTOS)

        YEREVAN. – President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, who is also Supreme Commander of the Armenian Armed Forces, on Friday paid a visit to the Ministry of Defense.

        Prior to the MOD consultations, however, the President watched the MOD demonstration training, toured the MOD specialized medical station, and inspected the products of Armenia’s military industry companies.

        At the consultation that was held after the tour, a video conference was held with the Armenian army units, the commanders of several military units, and the combat positions.

        Subsequently, the MOD senior officials and officers presented Sargsyan reports on the activities conducted in, and the future plans for, Armenia’s defense sector.

        In his report, Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan stressed that the Armenian Armed Forces have successfully carried out their combat duty on the Line of Contact. He assured that the weapons and ammunition, which are provided for the academic year, have substantially increased, and that the quantity of the combat education equipment have increased, too.

        Following the presentation of the reports, Serzh Sargsyan posed questions to the speakers on the presented matters, gave instructions to the persons in charge, and presented his observations.

        Stressing that there is a tangible progress in the Armenian Armed Forces, the President underscored the need to give a new impetus to this progress.

        Reflecting on the MOD’s social problems that require a priority solution, President Sargsyan specifically stressed:
        “We will start a huge program: providing housing to the families of the fallen (dead) and disabled military servicemen (freedom fighters) and, in all likelihood, we will go by way of building and allocating housing.”

                  Azerbaijani soldier commits suicide

                  Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. A soldier of the Azerbaijani Army has committed suicide.

                  The incident happened in the Defense Ministry’s military unit, APA reports.

                  Soldier Firdovsi Fikrat Nasibov hanged himself. The reasons of the suicide are still unknown.
                  The Defense Ministry confirmed the fact to APA.
                  Criminal case has been launched on the fact, investigation is underway.

                  Nasibov was drafted from Baku’s Nasimi district.

                      Looks like OHAN S 150 ... and its made in Armenia
                      Politics is not about the pursuit of morality nor what's right or wrong
                      Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.
                      Great politicians pursue the National interest and small politicians personal interests
