    Interesting......that AN-22A needs more than 9000 ft runway to land?

    regardless Zvotnots has 12000 ft plus runway so it makes sense. The aircraft wings were already off and the Aircraft was already preserved coming off the AN-22 so trucking it away its not hard.

    Just to add:
    It might also be because runway of landing weight restriction.

        Azerbaijan army has purchased more than 1,000 new artillery systems over the past 12 years

        The Armed forces of Azerbaijan bought nearly 1,000 new artillery and missile systems over the past twelve years. The Azerbaijani Armed Forces strengthening of military equipment with new artillery systems stands first in the former Soviet Union for its capabilities.
        Azerbaijan ordered more artillery systems from Russia during this period. Including a total of 500 various caliber artillery systems from Russia and some of them (454 pieces, according to the UN Register of Conventional Arms) have already been delivered to Baku.
        The main military equipment supplied by Russia include 120 mm caliber 2S12 Sani mortars, 18 units of MSTA-S self-propelled howitzers, 18 TOS-1A Solntsepyok heavy flamethrowers, 18 2S31 Vena self-propelled howitzers, 26 2S9 Nona-S self-propelled mortars, 18 9A52 Smerch heavy multiple rocket launchers.

        Azerbaijan has also purchased 294 various artillery systems from Ukraine including 12 BM-30 Smerch heavy multiple rocket launchers, 85 PM-38 mortars, 72 MT-12 guns, 54 2S1 Gvozdika and 16 2S3 Acacia self-propelled howitzers.

        A the same time, Belarus has also delivered 12 2S7 Pion self-propelled guns with 203 mm caliber and 120 D-30 howitzers to Azerbaijan.

        Other artillery systems were also purchased from Bulgaria as 36 M-46 guns and 10 RAK-12 multiple rocket launchers from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

        During the reporting period, Azerbaijan has expanded the power of its artillery troops by purchasing from Israel LAR-160, Lynx Grad, Lynx EXTRA, and multiple launch rocket systems T-107, T-122 Sakarya and T-300 Kasirga from Turkey.

            If they got those thermobaric rockets for those Smerch with over 50 miles range then that is big trouble......ever seen an explosion from these rockets, very accurate and man hell of shock wave too. Not good

                They need a civil war, best way to put ito use these weapons, no alternative.

                Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.
                Great politicians pursue the National interest and small politicians personal interests

                  Ադրբեջանի պետական սահմանապահ ծառայության զինծառայող, Ադրբեջանի հյուսիսային Զագաթալայի շրջանի սահմանապահ ուղեկալում ծառայություն անցնող, 1995-ին ծնված Իսքենդերով Շամսեդին Նարիման օղլուն մահացել է անվտանգության կանոնների խախտման հետևանքով։

                  Այս մասին հաղորդում է Ադրբեջանի պետական սահմանապահ ծառայության մամուլի ծառայությունը։ Ըստ աղբյուրի՝ մահվան պատճառն էլեկտրահարումն է. կարճ միացման պատճառով զինծառայողը տեղում մահացել է։

                  Հայտնի է նաև, որ նա զորակոչվել էր Ադրբեջանի լեզգիաբնակ Գուսարի շրջանից։

                  Նկատենք, որ սա 2014-ի հուլիսին ադրբեջանական կողմի հայտարարած առաջին կորուստն է։
