    [ 03 August 2014 14:55 ]
Terter. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. The details of the intensive firefights between the Azerbaijani and Armenian armed forces in the direction of Terter region on the night of August 2 have become known.

The servicemen, who are responsible for the defense of this territory, told APA’s correspondent that as a result of the preventive measures taken by Azerbaijani soldiers in the direction of Nemirli village on the night of August 2, Armenian subunits, ready for to commit subversive attacks were rendered harmless.

As Azerbaijani soldiers found the camp of Armenian armed forces aside from the line of trenches – in the direction of Namirli, they suddenly attacked and destroyed five tents and vehicles of special task forces of Armenia. Azerbaijan suffered three losses, while about 40 Armenian soldiers were reportedly killed in the firefight.

According to servicemen, Armenians have already blocked all roads to this direction and Armenia’s villages on the front line are in panic.

      More Nagorno-Karabakh Deaths Reported

The situation around Azerbaijan's breakaway region of Nagorno-Karabakh remained strained on August 3, with Armenia and Azerbaijan accusing each other of escalating tensions.

The self-styled Defense Ministry of Nagorno-Karabakh said its forces had foiled another Azerbaijani attempt at infiltration. It said one Azerbaijani soldier was killed.

Meanwhile, an ethnic Armenian soldier wounded in clashes near Nagorno-Karabakh earlier this week reportedly died in hospital on August 3.

This is the fifth death reported by Nagorno-Karabakh’s authorities since the latest flare-up of tensions in the conflict zone.

Also on August 3, the Armenian Defense Ministry accused the Azerbaijani side of violating the cease-fire along the frontline nearly 900 times.

Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry, meanwhile, blamed the Armenian forces for the continuing tensions.

Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamian said a meeting between the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Serzh Sarkisian and Ilham Aliyev, could be held as early as August 8-9 in the southern Russian resort of Sochi.

Okay, time to take a look at Azeri Unicorn logic..shall we?

According to Azeri media outlets...Azeri forces wiped out 40 highly trained, well equipped, Armenian special forces operators. Now, lets assume there are around 9-10 Azeri soldiers each section of the frontline.
Now this is basic. 10 vs 40...Its obvious..
Now, even if say two groups of Azeri forces closed in on the magical imaginary camp, they would have been met with large volumes of suppressive fire. They wouldnt be able to move due to the large amount of suppressive fire coming from a dense hostile area. On top of that, Azeris also claim that the 40 operators were accompanied by vehicles. I would assume these would be gun trucks. Perhaps UAZs with maybe AGS-30s mounted on them. (AGS30 is a automatic grenade launcher). This just adds to the suppression.
Even if, magically, the Azeri forces were able to force our side into a tactical retreat, they would be met with high volumes of fire from pairs of operators covering their teammates retreat (This is known as peeling, and is quite effective when forced to pull back.) These pairs prevent enemy contacts from inflicting decisive causalities on friendly forces through suppressive fire.

Unfortunately, Azeri media outlets live on a different planet and dont use common sense.
Armenian colony of Glendale will conquer all of California!

Lying like this they are trying to show their own people that the Azeri army is stronger. They have no source to back up this BS. If they attacked a camp and killed 40 Armenians shouldnt they have taken over territory?

Considering the number of claimed dead and counter claims there are not photos of the dead unlike previous incidences.
