Re: Nagorno-Karabagh: Military Balance Between Armenia & Azerbaijan
Well there are a few things we can do with the T-90:
1. We have to acknowledge first that this is a very nice gift from our boys; a few million dollars worth of nice!
2. As Armenians we have learned that no weapon is non-utilizable. As long as it can fire, it will be used somewhere. We were making home made anti-aircraft guns during the Karabakh war, so having a T-90, is a valuable addition to our arsenal.
3. Our enemy has over 100 T-90s. This tank can give our experts the necessary info on the weaknesses and strengths of a model that the enemy utilizes. We should not take this issue lightly!
4. We have T-72s and some reports also state that we have around 20 T-80s. Now that we have a T-90 in our hand we can compare in real life which tank represents a better model for our terrain and guide our future purchase decisions on this analysis.
5. Reverse engineering (I don't know how much reverse engineering does Armenia carry out but nonetheless) can help us upgrade our T-72s locally, specially since we do have some factories that do develop and modernized tanks and other armored vehicles.
6. Our guys can use this model for further training to get a 2nd T-90 as a gift in the next year's Biathlon

Why dont we sell it to a third country (except Turkey or Azerbaijan) for $3M and buy 2 or 3 new T90s at discounted prices from Russia !!
.Politics is not about the pursuit of morality nor what's right or wrong
Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.
Great politicians pursue the National interest and small politicians personal interests
