I did a bit of "snooping" on Azeri forums and decided to compare infantry standards...

I won't say anything, ill just leave it here for you guys...

(Lets just say, the arms their soldiers have during exercises, doesnt seem to correspond with the arms the soldiers are given on the border.)

Also, can someone identify what kind of troops those guys are in the bottom right corner of the image. I really don't think they are regulars...

Interesting conversation about the most recent flare ups on the border. Masis Mailyan, believes that the escalation on the part of Azerbaijan was an attempt to capture Armenian soldiers, and propose and fulfill an exchange. (With the capture criminals in Artsakh, the ones who murdered two and injured another) before Armenia could make an official case with the international community

That was my assessment as well back in early August. The Azeris wanted retribution for the saboteurs in Karvachar with the aim of capturing Armenian troops, for trade and hurt Armenian morale and increase Azeri morale after their embarrassment weeks before. It certainly did not go as planned

An Azerbaijani citizen was taken captive by Karabakh frontier guards as he was attempting to cross the NKR state border in the northeastern direction (Verin Chaylu) around 6:10 pm on September 5.

The Stepanakert Office of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has been notified about the incident.

Mamedov Javid Samiroglu was handed over to the respective agencies in NKR, the press service of NKR Defense Ministry reports.

Azerbaijani media presented additional information about an Azerbaijani man taken captive by Nagorno-Karabakh.

According to ANC Press, Javid Samiroglu Mamedov is a resident of Terter Region. Preliminary reports suggest that he is a son of the deputy chief of Terter road police department.

As reported earlier, a citizen of Azerbaijan has been taken captive at an attempt to cross the state border of NKR in north-eastern direction. Javid Samiroglu Mamedov was taken captive on Friday evening.

Why are we even keeping this guy around? Send him back or if we doesnt like his Great Leader, send him to Georgia or Iran. He would have a much better chance at life there...
