Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)
1] What you CAN NOT post.
You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene
You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)
The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!
2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.
This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.
3] Keep the focus.
Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.
4] Behave as you would in a public location.
This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.
5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.
Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.
6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.
Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.
7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.
- PLEASE READ -
Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.
8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)
If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Re: Nagorno-Karabagh: Military Balance Between Armenia & Azerbaijan
Press Release
2015-01-21
After the decree of the president of Azerbaijan on Regulations on security on the contact line between the troops of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan> dated 24 September 2014, the military leadership of Azerbaijan has established a new, even higher than before, benchmark of information restriction and distortion of facts in his information policy.
Moreover, along with full distortion of the facts related to Armenia, Nagorno Karabakh and situation on the contact line, which are represented to both domestic and international communities, and dissemination of misinformation, the Ministry of Defence of that country has completely stopped publication of any negative information related to its own Armed Forces, especially those related to the flops on the contact line with numerous mindless human losses. This behaviour is fully in line with national information policy, where “freedom of speech”, “free media”, “human rights”, “pluralism” and all other characteristics of free information society are eradicated, where free expression is viewed as treason, where the generations are brought with presented image of Armenians as enemy, fictional own history and fictitious heroes created on committed crimes.
The Ministry of Defence of RA will continue its open, transparent and impartial information policy being accountable to the society for achievements and more importantly for oversights, because it realizes the full responsibility to overcome them and ensure the defense of the Republic of Armenia and Armenian society.
This dissimilarity of approaches adopted in the information field best illustrates the existing and daily growing moral and value differences between the conflicting side.

Re: Nagorno-Karabagh: Military Balance Between Armenia & Azerbaijan
Originally posted by ArmeniaSacra View PostI wrote about this months ago...Azeris have begun a war of attrition...our defense ministry is selling crap...these are not infiltration attempts..these are organized missions with the sole purpose of either killing as many soldiers as possible or maybe even taking some hostage. Our responses since the beggining of the year have been both poor and pathetic...time for the big guns
I believe the Azeri strategy is step up frontline raids, sniper attacks, etc. (capturing an Armenian soldier would be a bonus) is due to the the following factors:
A. The Azeris are trying to break Armenia/Artsakh's resolve, create dissension in civilian population, and hurt morale and possibly win concessions from Armenia/Artsakh.
B. At the same time, the Azeris are trying to engage Armenia into the fight even more directly, specifically in Tavush. They seem to want to escalate the fight into a full blown engagement and possibly another war. They also are using increased sniping and attacks to frighten the civilian population in an already struggling region
C. The Azeris have decided in September of 2014- after the heavy losses incurred during the August raids- not to report their losses thereafter (as per the article above (thank you burjuin); which was hurting overall Azeri morale. This coincides with the universal crackdown on all Azeri media by the Aliyev regime. It is one more tool to control Azeri society. From here on out, we should not expect reports of Azeri losses in their already highly-censored media (not that they were ever very truthful before); the Azeris have always been more than willing to sacrifice large numbers of conscripts for no gain. This will eventually create a larger problem in Azeri society because you cannot actually hide losses/ they can only be hidden temporarily. Furthermore, whether society in kept in the dark or not, the armed forces know exactly what is happening and such waste will hurt morale.
D. This is the only strategy the Azeris can follow at this point as all of us know. It has been determined by military experts globally (US, Russia, UK, etc) that despite monumental military spending, etc, the Azeris have little chance of making gains in a renewed war. It is a war of attrition but more like death by a thousand paper cuts. It is a media battle more than anything at this point. I also believe that with oil prices falling 60%, dissipating oil reserves, and western enablers starting to decrease support to the Aliyev regime, this is Aliyev lashing out/looking for quick results to bolster his regime.
E. Armenia can play a similar game- be more vigilant, especially during nighttime hours, continue sniping efforts, build up defensive positions, setting ambushes, further mining, etc. Doing so (which hopefully and most likely the Armenian forces are undertaking) will prove the Azeri raids totally ineffectual- at some point the lack of success and wastefulness will abate from the Azeri side. Armenian efforts need to be doubled in this respect. The Azeris fight foolishly, show disregard for their own troops but the have shown increased daring- it is a sing of desperation but nonetheless, cannot go unchecked. Armenia/Artsakh needs to assume the raids will continue nightly which for the most part they already are.
F. Armenian forces should not be suckered in to a large escalation, which the Azeris seem to determined to do. Armenia/Artsakh can certainly counterattack but the Azeris are trying to make Armenians the aggressor and to have Armenia/Artsakh fight on their terms/terrain/and possible ambush.Last edited by Joseph; 01-21-2015, 07:20 AM.General Antranik (1865-1927): “I am not a nationalist. Re: Nagorno-Karabagh: Military Balance Between Armenia & Azerbaijan
The point is that raids or no the fatalities just show also how unprepared is our night capabilities (hence the raids are always night operations) . Our President should firstly inform in the UN quarters of the situation , warn for serious actions .
Secondly create means of live if possible in camera footage of the front lines with ultimate goal of media propaganda war . When the public and global opinion will be risen to certain levels , start the implication of your warnings .
When the public and global opinion will be risen to certain levels , start the implication of your warnings . aka bomb the xxxx out of the azeri starting bases of raids.
If you claim you have the protection of CSTO and the understanding of the UN parliament then use it in your advantage as much as possible .
i should really post more often . since i'm always present

P.s
Armenia should start at last and undermine the TROIKA of USA RUSSIA and FRANCE and its border monitoring operation so unworthy and many times insulting and disrespecting towards the peace and the armenian nation , we are after all the victor of the last war , what the hell we should lay down preconditions .
Armenia should be more demanding , and if the president cant do that then he should create and expert group so they can dedicate to that project 100% 24/7 .
