this is off topic but lately us and europe are concerned with people being deployed to isis from foreign countries,and since azeris got more then hundreds of fighters there supporting the islamic state,might that have any influence on U.S tilting towards us?

You U.S doesn't give a damn about Armenia. They will never help us out because our close ties with russia. I bet they're probably supplying azeris with weapons too

US already wants Armenia in its own sphere and there is relations with USA right now even military.....but if you mean Armenia replacing America for Russia then NO.
America wants peace between Armenia and Turks but do to enemies preconditions it has failed. A pipeline going through Armenia to Turkey and black sea will take over energy needs of Eastern Europe that Russia provides.

No. The Islamic State is as much an enemy to Azerbaijan as it is to the US. If anything, it would make US cooperate more with Aliyev so he clamps down on IS members in Azerbaijan. Don't forget that for IS, a Shiite Muslim is worse than a Christian.

No. The Islamic State is as much an enemy to Azerbaijan as it is to the US. If anything, it would make US cooperate more with Aliyev so he clamps down on IS members in Azerbaijan. Don't forget that for IS, a Shiite Muslim is worse than a Christian.

I agree with your statement as far as its factuality.

However the US will play the situation for its political and geopolitical advantage, it would be an ideal carrot and stick game play.
If there will be benefit to Armenia it will be incidental and not longer than that game play.

Classic example is Syria.
First US was against Assad and quiet about IS build up, some would argue actually helping towards that build-up.
Now they are against the IS but also reserve the right to remove Assad in time.
The US wants to bring into power a third entity which currently is not significant, maybe weak but manageable. There lies the US interest.

There is an urgent need for the adoption of “Cases and rules of contract-based admission into active military service” which allows women and foreigners to serve in the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan and other military formations defined by law, said chief of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription, Lieutenant-General Arzu Rahimov, APA reports.

A. Rahimov said there are foreigners and stateless persons in Azerbaijan who want to serve in the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan and other military formations defined by law.

“Since there are such cases, we must legalize it,” he said.

A. Rahimov also said the attestation of pre-conscription preparation teachers is underway, adding that methodic materials are being updated.
