A random question, but what does it take to declare neutral state like Switzerland and be

free from invading forces ? That way lose dependence from Russia and not worry about a

possible Turkish invasion.since our borders are already drawn in our favore from the

east,we won't lose anything,or we can do this after a possible peace agreement with Azeris

on Karabakh which of course should be in our favor

How does a sheep declare itself inedible (neutral) living in a village where wolves prowl in the vicinity.
How can a mouse declare itself neutral in a cat zone.

Seeking neutrality in the hope of survival is akin to walking blindfolded.

Switzerland like any other country has a history.

It has endured invasions and civil war. The last one around 1850s.
In historical terms its current status is not very long.
Although Its neutrality appears very robust,
in historical terms one cannot guarantee what a mad political leader might do in its neighbourhood in the future, say in 100 or 200 years.

One must not forget despite its neutrality it has a significant defence force including an air force and a defence strategy, (policy document).

      .
Politics is not about the pursuit of morality nor what's right or wrong
Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.
Great politicians pursue the National interest and small politicians personal interests

Armenian armed forces' sabotage prevented, one Azerbaijani soldier killed

              [ 21 February 2015 10:20 ]
“After an intensive firefight, the Armenian forces were forces to retreat by suffering heavy losses”

Baku – APA. Immediately after the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs left the region, Armenian reconnaissance-sabotage group again tried to commit provocation on the contact line of troops.

The Defense Ministry said in a statement that on the night of February 21, Armenians attempted to attack the positions of Azerbaijani armed forces. Thanks to the high vigilance of Azerbaijan’s soldiers, this attempt of the enemy was detected in advance and prevented.

After an intensive firefight, the Armenian forces were forced to retreat by suffering heavy losses.

Javadov Zalimkhan Eyballi, a soldier of the Azerbaijani Army, was killed during the firefight.

The Defense Ministry said that the Armenian side, constantly committing acts of sabotage, is trying to put blame on Azerbaijani armed forces.

“The military and political leadership of Armenia bears full responsibility for all diversions on the frontline. Now our response will be more firmly and decisively, we will avenge the blood of our martyrs,” the statement said.

The Defense Ministry’s leadership offers condolences to the relatives and friends of the deceased soldier.

KARABAKH RULES OUT RELEASE OF JAILED AZERBAIJANI NATIONALS

                Big News Network, Australia
                Feb 19 2015

                RFE Thursday 19th February, 2015

Authorities in Azerbaijan's breakaway region of Nagorno-Karabakh have
refused to consider the release of two Azerbaijani nationals who were
convicted and jailed last year on charges of committing a number of
                crimes, including murder.

Azerbaijan does not recognize the legality of the trial in which its
citizens, Dilham Askerov and Shahbaz Quliyev, were sentenced to life
and 22 years in prison, respectively.

Askerov, 54, and Quliyev, 46, are charged with murder, espionage,
illegal border crossing, and illegal weapons possession.

Authorities in the self-proclaimed government of Nagorno-Karabakh
say they crossed into the breakaway region on July 12 and killed an
                officer of its military.

Azerbaijani officials say the self-proclaimed government, which is
not recognized by any nation, has no legal right to try the men.

Baku and Yerevan have been locked in a conflict over Azerbaijan's
breakaway region of Nagorno-Karabakh for years.

Armenian-backed separatists seized the mainly Armenian-populated
region from Azerbaijan during a war in the early 1990s that killed
some 30,000 people and displaced many more.

Diplomatic efforts to settle the conflict have brought little progress.

Foiled sabotage enemy onslaught. Destroyed at least four askers

On the night of February 21, the Azerbaijani side once again resorted to the bloody provocations, try to steer into the depths of the Artsakh Republic reconnaissance and sabotage groups.

As reported Voskanapat.info, Armenian soldiers, vigilant and fully controlling the situation at the border, just noticed Azerbaijani subversives and opened fire on them to defeat.

As a result of its own provocation Azerbaijan lost at least 4 askers killed, there are wounded.
The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry has acknowledged the death of one of his asker - Javadova Zalimkhan Eybaly oglu.

Noteworthy is that the next bloody provocation of Azerbaijan was performed immediately after the region left the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group.
