You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

I think Turkey might intervene if we attack Nakhichevan and another thing to consider is that our troops are dug in to defend and probably are not prepared to attack.

And getting Nakhijevan right now is not an option for Armenia, because when the region was given to the Azeris the Su and Turkey were guaranteers of the region. So if we attack Nakhijevan we will at war with Nato.
I did not say we should attack Nakhichevan with troops now, no we should be smarter diplomatically and claim Nakchichevan and other areas, we have made numerous errors relating to these problems and in diplomacy you must not ''defend'' yourself from other attacks, but counter-attack. We should have included the Nakchichevan issue long ago as wel as the massacres in Sumgait, Kirovabad, and Baku. We should me far more aggressive and active.

150, 000 populated Karabakh could not break out hostilities against Azerbaijan, RA President

          June 23, 2010 | 17:59
The speech of RA President Serzh Sargsyan at the Konrad Adenauer Foundation was followed by questions. A certain Gajibeyli, who claimed to be from Aghdam, addressed the President, “Since 1992 my village has been occupied by Armenian-Russian units. It is already for 18 years that I have been unable to return to my motherland. How long will you occupy my motherland?” he asked.

“Until you, Mr. Gajibeyli, stop making four serious mistakes in one sentence,” the Armenian President replied. “First, it was Azerbaijan that attacked Nagorno-Karabakh from Aghdam in 1992 and occupied its major part. Besides, there was not a single Russian soldier in the mentioned region and you should not explain your defeat by any other reasons. Thirdly, I have no relation to the forces deployed in that region to be able to help you. That region is controlled by the armed forces of Nagorno-Karabakh and this situation was imposed upon them – Karabakh with a population of 150,000 could not have started hostilities against Azerbaijan, with its population of several millions. That was an imposed war, which made the Karabakh people to take up arms and save their independence at the expense of their children’s lives,” Serzh Sargsyan said.

Karabakh conflict settlement to avert deaths on front line, Azerbaijani FM
              Wed 23 June 2010 | 09:53 GMT Text size:

              Elmar Mammadyarov
Armenia accuse Azerbaijan of bellicose rhetoric, but this rhetoric will not end before the settlement of the conflict, said Azerbaijani FM.

The recent armed incident in the Karabakh conflict area that caused deaths is a "message to the entire world" that such incidents will repeat unless Armenia liberates Azerbaijani lands", said Azerbaijani FM Elmar Mammadyarov.

"Some, including Armenia, accuse Azerbaijan of bellicose rhetoric, but this rhetoric will not end before the settlement of the conflict", Mammadyarov told a briefing with Austrian counterpart Michael Spindelegger in Baku on Wednesday.

TURKEY, AZERBAIJAN TO LAUNCH JOINT MILITARY FACILITY

                  LAMIYA ADILGIZI BAKU
                  22 June 2010, Tuesday

Turkey will join forces with Azerbaijan to establish an arms production
company in Baku as part of Turkey's years-long military cooperation
with the South Caucasus country, which remains at war with Armenia
over the Nagorno-Karabakh dispute, the Azerbaijani press reported
                  over the weekend.

Azerbaijani company Azersimtel is currently holding discussions over
the structure and scope of the new company's operations. The Turkish
Mechanical and Chemical Industry Corporation (MKE) will reportedly
hold a large share of the military facility. In the first stage of
production, the company is expected to produce attack weaponry for
                  the Azerbaijani armed forces.

In the following stages of production, the company will produce
materiel, munitions and ammunition, as well. Using the trade networks
of both Azerbaijan and Turkey, the arms company will most likely
export some of its products abroad.

Military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey first emerged in
1992 with an agreement signed between the Azerbaijani and Turkish
governments on military education. Since then, the Azerbaijani and
Turkish governments have closely cooperated on defense and security.

As a sign of high-level military relations, Azerbaijani Defense
Minister Col. Gen. Safar Abiyev traveled to Turkey on an official
visit this April. The Turkish and Azerbaijani delegations discussed
cooperation in military areas during that visit as well as issues
                  related to the Nagorno-Karabakh dispute.

ASELSAN, a leading Turkish defense contractor, currently operates
                  in Azerbaijan.

THERE ARE SERIOUS REASONS FOR MOSCOW TO REFLECT, SAYS EXPERT

                    Aysor.am
                    June 22, 2010

In a result of the trilateral meeting between presidents of Armenia,
Azerbaijan and Russia, the Karabakh talks stepped six months back,
                    said political scientist Sergey Minasian.

"The most important result of this talk is that Karabakh talks stepped
six months back to the situation ahead of trilateral meeting in Sochi.

It is also important that the format has been kept, and that Russia,
who acts as the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair and main military and
strategic ally of Armenia, continues playing an important role in
the peaceful talks," said analyst. He pointed that in result of last
developments the Armenian-Russian partnership got stronger, which is
a subject for concerns in Azerbaijan and beyond it.

"It can be said of the end of Turkey's aspirations -- even though
they were hopeless -- to be involved into the process of settlement
to the Karabakh conflict," said Sergey Minasian. In Sergey Minasian's
opinion, Azerbaijan expected Turkey's involvement into the process,
and that was the reason for Aliev's frustration when he was leaving
                    from St. Petersburg.

Pointing at the Declaration signed on November 2, 2008 at the
Meiendorf Castle outside Moscow, Minasian said that the sides that time
                    demonstrated readiness to settle the conflict by peaceful meanings;
however the Declaration hasn't acquired any legal force.

"At least, the facts that the Declaration is signed by Russian
President, and that last developments occurred several hours after
the trilateral meeting, organised by president of this country, had
been held, as I think, cause serious reasons for Moscow to reflect."
                    Hayastan or Bust.

We need international observers who will monitor the cease fire line, this way Azeris will not be able to attack or provoke, and if the do their attack will be clearly seen by the international people and thus they will be heavily condemned. EU should apply the same roadmap they did for Kosovo for NKR. I would argue NKR is the most democratic in the Caucuses and definitely more democratic than Kosovo.

On the other hand, if Azeris attack fully and we repel them, than we'll have independence for NKR. Thus Azeris don't want to take such a chance as they know the NKR defences are very solid and they will suffer heavy causalities upon attacking. We need to also remember that we are part of CSTO and Azerbaijan isn't, though I sometimes doubt how willing Russia would be in fighting Azerbaijan which has fairly good relation with Russia and gives them gas and oil.
