    Press Release
    2015-08-01
Throughout the visit to the USA, RA First Deputy Minister of Defence Davit Tonoyan held official meetings with US Deputy Assistant Secretaries of State responsible for various sectors, Jeremy Brenner, Rob Bershinski, John Heffern and Todd Chapman; Directors for Regional Affairs in the US National Security Council, Celeste Wallander and Victoria Tailor; as well as chief representatives of the US Armenian community’s lobbyist organizations.

During the meetings, discussions were conducted on international and regional security related issues, prospects for development of the Armenian-American relations in the sphere of defence, and the implementation of joint projects. Special attention was given to humanitarian demining, the improvement of peacekeepers’ abilities, military-education, human rights in the armed forces, strengthening building integrity, defence reforms, and other matters of mutual interest. The parties reaffirmed their willingness to carry out and assume new joint commitments in the frame of bilateral cooperation, as well as cooperation with international structures: UN, CSTO and NATO.
The American side confirmed its readiness to assist in every project currently implemented and in new undertakings, whilst praising defence reform and interoperability developments, including achievements resulting from the improvements of human rights in the armed forces.

Yes the USSR production facility for Su-25 was in Georgia, that's why. Kind of like why Ukraine has a military industrial sector as well, Soviets placed it in those republics and they inherited it.

So our Su-25s are made in Georgia too? I'm surprised the production is still ongoing in these plants

This subject came up a some time ago and the creator of this thread ZORAVAR was saying their SU-25 was not of good quality.
