Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Russia plans military base on Azeri-Armenian border
Russia plans to build a second military base on Armenia`s border with Azerbaijan in 2010.

Russia plans to build a second military base on Armenia`s border with Azerbaijan in 2010. The base, to be located in the Ijevan region, will store heavy machinery, remote-controlled artillery and other weapons, local reports say.
Construction of a medium-range radar station at the base is envisioned, as well.
The facility will be a disturbing source of Russian military power for Azerbaijan and Georgia, the neighboring South Caucasus republics, analysts say. It is also considered threatening for the energy and transport corridors in the region.
The recent tide of unrest in Georgia has apparently accelerated the process of building another Russian-operated military base in Armenian territory.

First thought its BS but with the option to change my mind.

PS. Not even a quotation "from an unnamed source". Good wind-up.

This article is made in 2008. As it says 2010. But it's 2015 now and no base yet.
It is also an Azeri source, not Russian. Who will believe Azeri BS? Even Azeris themselves don't believe their media.

Well lets look at this. The only way Kurds can get land for the first time in their history (not counting N Iraq) will come with heavy pre-conditions by Turkey and the plan could also be to get the west/NATO into this new Kurdistan, maybe even a base. Advisers to show them how to run a government, etc...

Kurds have never owned a state.....they are the number one mountain goat fckers hands down and now they are being used. Also it won't be the first time US cuts all help to Kurds. They allowed Saddam to gas them, US could have stopped it. In war they will advance with Americans but without them they do nothing more than empty their magazines and come back and say "I am out of ammo".

OK, Kurds get Western Armenia and we decide to take our land.....what do you think Azerbaijan will do. It will seize the opportunity since he knows Armenia cannot fight on two fronts.

I agree with you,Americans always use countries for their foreign affairs and ambitions, like they used Georgia and Kosovo to show their bicept to the Russians.but on the contrary to your last sentence,I doubt Azeris will by any means attack us when turkey is wiped out.they would be vulnerable without their supposed Turkish brothers and know that they are next so they will start to bow their head down to the ground and accept the statues quo.thats when the manifest destiny of the Armenian people to the eastward (Baku)can start.

MoD Seyran Ohanyan: situation remains tense to some extent on border

                    15:20, 17 August, 2015
TSAGHKADZOR, AUGUST 17, ARMENPRESS. The situation remains tense to some extent on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border and in the line of contact of the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing armies. Seyran Ohanyan, Defense Minister of the Republic of Armenia replied to Armenpress question that as a result of wise and skillful decisions the Armed Forces of Armenia and Karabakh Defense Army prevent any step of the opponent.

“The situation on the border remains tense to some extent. After the European Games, Azerbaijan occasionally increases and decreases tension degree: ceasefire violations, shots, subversive attacks go on. Those steps are prevented due to wise and skillful actions of the frontier troops. I want to tell our people that there’s no need to worry, because the Armed Forces of Armenia and Karabakh Defence Army carried out their duties excellently in Artsakh Liberation War and do today.”, said Defense Minister.

So if west tries to keep new Kurdistan under controll who do you think will oppose them?
If you guessed Russia and Iran, you are correct. It will be "come to papa" sort of thing.
Who's on the first line bordering Kurds? We.
Let's stop about war between us and Kurds ok? It will never happen. We don't need to.
Fighting Kurds and making them accept Turkish friendship once again will seal the fate of our lands away from us.
Kurds and us are going to be very close is we are smart. We need those orphans to get home and we will be like a permanent guest there.
We don't need Kurds defending against us.
                      No war, ok?
When giving privileges to Kurds over Armenians in eastern Anatolia did not get the results Turks wanted, namely wiping out Armenians by Kurdish help, Turks started scaring Kurds that " soon Armenians with Russian soldiers are going to come and kick you out of your lands and make the area all Christian".
                      That propaganda worked. Fear works.
We have to stop big mouthing our possible allies away, and serousely start thinking how the landscape and relations can be post Turkish domination.
