Re: Nagorno-Karabagh: Military Balance Between Armenia & Azerbaijan
Provocation suppressed, saboteurs destroyed
As media channels of Armenia and Azerbaijan has passed the message on the next attempt Azerbaijani commandos infiltrate the territory of the Republic of Artsakh. Morning of August 31, at approximately 06.15 hours, the NKR Defense Army patrol spotted a group of armed men who tried to stop the border of Nagorno Karabakh to Azerbaijan. As a result of actions taken, part of the group was destroyed, the rest returned home.
Voskanapat.info contacted the commander of the unit responsible for guarding the state border near the village of Chily Martakert region.
"Yes, indeed, this morning I was informed that the observers on duty noticed a group of Azerbaijani commandos, approximately 13 people who tried to infiltrate the territory of Nagorno Karabakh. It was agreed to by allowing them closer, in order to beat for sure, but also deprive them of opportunities to retreat. We monitored their movements for about 15 minutes, then opened fire. We managed to destroy at least seven saboteurs, and the rest were thrown out of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic ", - told us the officer NKR.
- And they could not prove whether the Azerbaijani Asker defectors, and is it possible to check the version before opening fire?
- NKR Defense Ministry has officially stated that the voluntary defectors to us will be more secure than in the places of their current service. We have received strict orders not to fire until until I finally became convinced that passing the border by armed men are not willing defectors. In this case, we did so, at first convinced that it is - not deserters. Tried to escape across the border men were well armed and equipped saboteurs. In addition, the way they tried to cross the border, left no doubt: we are dealing with a trained commando.
- Boy, as a minimum, with 13 trained saboteurs assumes losses on both sides ...
- Maybe, if the saboteurs, except military and physical training, have more and courage. But the Azerbaijani armed forces with this quality needed for a true warrior, never differed. In response to our attack, smashing shots about a minute they meet disorderly unsighted fire, and then scattered in all directions. Those who are able to do it. Nevertheless, one of the stray bullets wounded a private Ruxxxx Manaseryan. Fortunately, the doctors assure us that the life of the Armenian Soldier are in no danger.
- Other losses on our part, no?
- More losses do not have. But the enemy's losses are serious. I can say with conviction about seven saboteurs destroyed. Two more they managed to pull on their positions. About that, if it was wounded or killed, we do not know for sure. Therefore, we can only talk about the seven killed saboteurs armed forces of Azerbaijan.
- The Azerbaijani party asserts that we have three dead and one wounded ...
- (Laughs). Previously, when in Azerbaijan reported our "loss", they tend to mechanically transfer the figure of its losses on us. Perhaps, in Baku, Azerbaijan Ministry of Defense just realized that even their brainwashed citizens do not believe in the fact that the Azerbaijani Asker managed to cause us such great loss. Therefore, probably, reduced the number to three. In fact, I declare officially, we have one wounded - Rudic Manaseryan. Azerbaijan has lost just killed at least seven people. And so will all who dare to stick their noses dirty goals for our country.
- Guys will be rewarded?
- It is not, I decide. For its part, of course, I will write the submission for the award, but there has to be decided by commanders. On the other hand, I do not think that we have done something heroic. Deleting an armed enemy, trying to penetrate our territory, it is our duty. And the execution of duty - the duty. So, because we already had to do, reward is not necessary. Our own great reward - a dead enemy, and now lying in the neutral zone.
- Good luck to all of you, our dear. We are proud of you, proud of our advocates, and forever love you.
- Tell everyone in Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh, let sleeping peacefully.
7 dead azeris from todays sabotage attempt. one Armenian wounded

Re: Nagorno-Karabagh: Military Balance Between Armenia & Azerbaijan
Aliyev will have to get off his ass
April 2, 1997, at a closed meeting, the State Duma of Russia, with a sensational speech, which was later dubbed in Azerbaijan, "Armen's Gate", was made chairman of the Defense Committee, General Lev Rokhlin. Rokhlin asserted that Russia gave Armenia weapons and ammunition valued at one billion dollars (this amount is subsequently "grown" to a half billion). In Baku, on the subject was raised by an incredible noise, oversized political figures - from the President of Azerbaijan to the opposition leaders - demanded to break off relations with Russia, to enroll her in a number of enemies of the Azerbaijan Republic.
The scandal was a grand, and this noise, few paid attention to the fact that this is the same Rokhlin, that commanded in 1988-90 years of the 75th Motorized Rifle Division in Nakhichevan. The division is known to all its weapons handed People's Front of Azerbaijan, which has been behind the scenes leader Heydar Aliyev. And hardly anyone doubts that this transfer took place Gratis.
About Rokhlin more can be said that he commanded the 8 th Guards Corps, smashed and destroyed in Grozny, Dudayev's troops J. New Year's days of 1994-95. In the night of 2 July 3 Rokhlin was murdered at his dacha own wife Tamara Rokhlina, according to investigators in a state of severe intoxication. True, the Latvian newspaper "Chas" claimed that Rokhlin was preparing a military coup, as a result and was killed on the orders of Boris Yeltsin. But that's another story.
January 8, 2009 Azeri site "Media forum" has published the information under the sensational headline: "discovered a list handed over to Russia in Armenia new weapons worth 800 million dollars." The material attached photographs of two crumpled papers, which were intended to "confirm" information. It was "handed over a list of weapons, compiled with numerous spelling errors, impossible for the Russian-speaking person. For example, self-propelled gun "Acacia" in "list" was listed as "Acasia. It is worthwhile to note that in the Azeri language is no sound "u", and many guests Azerbaijan openly made fun of constantly flickering sign of Sex, that merely means the shop. By the way, the tree itself acacia and translated into Azerbaijani language - Ğakasiyağ (to change the alphabet - akasija).
Despite pointing to fake flashy errors, as well as a refutation of the relevant structures of Russia, Azerbaijan rose another hysteria against Russia. All media in this republic - from yellow to gazetenok respectable publications - considered it their patriotic duty to offend Russia and its leaders. "On the complex of inferiority in Putin's Russia, or what is behind the transfer of arms to Armenia for 800 million dollars?", "Kremlin inexplicable rudeness", "Russia - the pathological traitor" - this is not the most offensive titles Azerbaijani newspapers and online resources for those days.
In a verbal "attack" on Russia crossed the deputies of Milli Majlis, Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry, members of the president's office ... even remembered the expression of the Constitutional Act on State Independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan: "For centuries Russia has humiliated the national dignity and the Azerbaijanis," mercilessly exploited the wealth of Azerbaijan "etc.
These stories reminded of the recent visit to Armenia, the Russian President Dmitry Medvedev and signed in Yerevan, the Armenian-Russian protocol on the presence of Russian military bases in Armenia. Article 3 of the Protocol provides that "The Russian side has assisted in providing the Republic of Armenia and compatible with modern weapons, military (special) equipment.
In Baku, of course, do not doubt that part of the modern and compatible with staying in the Russian army weapons, as well as special military equipment are already in Armenia. Do not doubt and that the supply of arms will continue, because the Armenian-Russian relations have evolved from simply a strategic military-strategic alliance. I repeat, in Baku's all very well know. But ... silent. And you can be confident in the expected imminent visit of Medvedev to Azerbaijan nobody, at least, from the officials, this issue will raise. If only some small-minded journalist does not lean out with an inappropriate question.
Military alliance with Armenia, Russia, signed on top of the CSTO, it is not only a major diplomatic success of the two countries, and not only the contract that protects the interests of the Russian Federation and the security of the Republic of Armenia. Armenian-Russian Protocol, signed on August 19 this year, the presidents of Russia and Armenia - is a balm to the soul of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, since it enables him to continue to calmly lead the republic, to suppress the opposition, to save money in various offshore accounts, buying whole blocks in the resorts of the world and prepare a change in the person of Heydar Aliyev junior.
In fact, their belligerent statements and repeated promises "by force" to capture Artsakh, Aliev, until recently, consistently drove himself into a political and psychological impasse. And stop, stop the flow of empty and meaningless threats, the president of Azerbaijan could not, because, as the proverb says, "Take the donkey - a shame to get off his ass - two disgrace". And now with Aliyev appeared a great excuse: war with Armenia, we can not, because behind her is a strong Russia. The situation is attractive for Aliyev, the fact that the Caucasian Turks, panic fearing renewed fighting, happy to accept these explanations. Yes, and a longtime fear of Russian is not obsolete in the Caucasian Turks. So that Aliyev is also entitled to the gratitude of his countrymen.
Signed in Yerevan, the Protocol on the Russian military base in Armenia is not so much a guarantee of security of the Armenian states, as a guarantee of preservation of Azerbaijan in its current limits. And then for the sake of his estate and welfare of their clan Aliyev still have to get off their ass.
