ՀՀ կառավարությունը միջոցներ կձեռնարկի շտապ կարգով Իրանի եւ Թուրքիայի հետ սահմանին Արաքս գետի ափերը ամրապնդելու համար։ Այս մասին որոշումն ընդունվել է մարտի 17-ին կայացած Կառավարության նիստում։

Ավելի վաղ վերանորոգման աշխատանքների 1.6 մլրդ դոլար արժողությամբ նախահաշվարկը ներկայացվել է Տարածքային կառավարման նախարարության եւ Արաքս գետի հարցերի հանձնաժողովի հետ համատեղ։ Հաշվի առնելով միջոցների եւ ժամանակի սղությունը՝ ընտրվել են այն տեղամասերը, որոնք հրատապ վերանորոգման կարիք ունեն, իսկ բուն աշխատանքները կընթանան առանց մրցույթի։ Վթարային տեղամասերի թվում է Իրանի սահմանին Կապան-Ծավ-Մեղրի մայրուղու մոտ ափի 1 կմ-ը եւ Թուրքիայի հետ սահմանին Սուրենավան գյուղի մի հատվածը։

This is unacceptable. Something must be done to stop these young men from being killed. This has gone on for too long. This is a fake ceasefire. The statusquo I do not believe is any longer in Armenia's favor. I say we take all strategic high grounds to deny the enemy the kind of advantages it has in the north east or anywhere else. These young men are far too valuable to lose in this manner. Not only are we losing more men but we are also losing opportunities in the region to develop. The bypassing of Armenia by the railroads in the making is a good example. I was all for peace but that was because I did not want our men dying. If they are going to dye like this anyways we might as well take the lands that will make us safer and more of a investment potential.

This has to be done Israel style. When Hezbollah kidnapped 2 Israeli soldiers in 2006, hardly any bridge in Lebanon remained intact. RIP
