What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

None of this makes sense. This is the same hill that random guy on Facebook posted pictures of before, so if civilians, reporters and our troops can get close enough to this thing, why haven't we, at the least, wrecked that shiny little excavator. Just getting a mortar somewhere nearby would put this whole effort under halt and cost them a piece of equipment that is very hard to transport to the frontier (aka long delay to get a new one).

At the same time, why in the hell are the AZ rats comfortable enough to drive a MF'ing EXCAVATOR near enemy lines during a hot war? Have you ever seen Israeli construction equipment? They put their dozers into tank armor because they are EASY TARGETS-- loud, hot, expensive and slow.

WTF is going on!? Are we letting them build it so we can bomb the hell out of it later? Is there a backroom deal with Aliyev to give him a "win" so he STFUs for a little while? Suspicious all around.

I don't know why everyone is so worked up about the CSTO. I recall at least half a dozen times where we all concluded in this thread that the CSTO is virtually useless for actual defense situations, that odds are it won't come to our defense. Do you want Armenians to die in a war with the Taliban/Al-Qaeda in Tajikistan? If the answer is no then how do you expect a Tajik to die for Armenians against Azerbaijan? CSTO doesn't even cover Artsakh anyway. The head of the CSTO openly blamed Azerbaijan and we all knew that's the best thing the CSTO can do, which isn't much. CSTO's only usefulness is the training we get out of it.

As for Russia, it's best to not poke the bear too much but just enough, because it's the hand that feeds us and whoever thinks the West can match what the Russians give us is a fool. Haykakan is right when he says the Turks are held at bay because of Russia. That's what the Russians' actual purpose in Armenia is and it is going well. As for why it arms Azerbaijan, consider the following. Russia stops arming Azerbaijan and openly sides with Armenia, immediately losing Azerbaijan out of its orbit. Azerbaijan has money so instead of buying a T-90, it buys Merkava tanks from Israel. The West moves in to fill the geopolitical void left by Russia and all of a sudden, the Russians now have a second Georgia at their border. Just need to look at it from a Russian realpolitik POV and play the xxxxty hand we're dealt with. We are in the single worst geopolitical region in the world, much worse than Israel who at least has a sea.

Having said that, we need to capitalize on the tacit anger in Armenia against Russia to get better deals from them, just like with Electric Yerevan. Russia won't stop selling to Azerbaijan because it doesn't make much sense for it to do so. How do we counter this? The next best thing is for Armenians to force Russia to match every single purchase Azerbaijan makes with supplies to us. Azerbaijan buys 100 T-90 tanks? Pressure Russia give us the same thing for cheaper. That way, the balance will always be equal no matter what Azerbaijan buys.

Regarding above posts about (why ?) we don't destroy trench digging mudders (azer).
In this video, you hear our troops --- laughing ---.
That speaks volumes and I believe contains the answer.
We, one this side via the Internet are greatly agitated and concerned over this trench digging.
Our compatriots over there (front line of battle) are watching this and --- laughing ---.
Let us take their lead and ... LAUGH.

Finally we seem to start thinking.
This 4 day war really tested our relations with Russia. And showed a large fault. But it did not happen just in this 4 days. That fault has been opening up because of arms sales to Azerbaijan. This fault has been there for past 2-3 years at least and our government and most of politicians knew why and how it was there. It was because Russia always considered both Armenia and Azerbaijan equal in value and in her sphere. Never wanting differentiate.
We saw how Russia came to aid to its ally Syria.
Why it did not to us?
But there is a question would we accept Russian military presence between us and Azeris?
The picture has been the same always. Russia guards his interests in Caucasus. And those interests do not exactly match with our or Azeri interests.
Moscow has strengthen its bases against turkey. That works for us. Imagine what would edroghan do in those 4 days of war? Can anybody predict the Turks? Not even US or Russia.
But Russia shutting turkey or anybody else out lets us and Azeris pull each other's hair in the same room.
Again, we have discussed this all along many times.
Armenia needs Russia as a barrier against turkey.
Azerbaijan needs Russia for weapons supply. If not this needs, both of us would kick Russia out.
And not that Azeris cannot buy weapons anywhere else. It's just if not buying from Russia then Russians would counter with arming us and making sure we had upper hand.
Why did Moscow decide to extend 200mln arms credit to us?
Because the continuos Azery escalation made it very abvious even for Moscow that this war was imminent, by her weapons.

I even suspect that the ceasefire was agreed by us because of Russian pressure.
Both countries are trapped by Russia.
                We knew it.
But our only fault is not forcing our hand with Moscow.
Don't worry Moscow will not suddenly hold Azerbaijan and let us in Turkish claws. In this game Russia needs both Armenia and Azerbaijan equally.
We have to act more on our interests. Be bad guy. We have to hit Azeris despite what anybody (Moscow especially) says.
Let's stop this civilized humanitarian crap...

Israeli Spike were the missiles that destroyed most of our tanks. Azerbaijan doesn't even need Russian Kornets when it has similar alternatives in Israel.

We will have to see how is Russia going to equalize situation here. Azeris had a nasty surprise with Israeli drones. If Russia counters it by supplying countermeasures, then we all will know that Moscow still wants to keep equal balance here. And that equal balance means continuing of status quo, despite what Aliev and erdaghan try, which works perfectly for us.
