Re: Nagorno-Karabagh: Military Balance Between Armenia & Azerbaijan
The following has been added to the main bio of Garegin Nzhdeh on wikipedia:
"During World War II, he assisted the Armenian Legion of the Wehrmacht, the armed forces of the Nazi Germany, he hoped that if Germany succeeded in conquering the USSR, they would be able to grant Armenia independence"
Without a doubt, it's the work of Azeris who live for the battlefield of the internet after realizing they have no chance to fight on the actual battlefield. If anyone knows how to get edits through the wikipedia screening process so they would come of as legitimate edits, please get to it as soon as you can.
While that is indeed what Nzhdeh did, it definitely isn't significant enough to be one of five sentences written about him. He quickly ended the pursuit when he realized it would not lead to his goals for Armenia. While there was indeed an Armenian legion of the German army, it was much smaller and insignificant than the Turkic legion. Unlike the turkic legion, Hitler had no trust of the Armenians and Georgians and they were reduced to bs work. The Turks/Azeris on the other hand were a massive success.
