That is why I deleted my post. He speaks of Kurdish problem though, but nothing about Greeks or Armenians.

A country's security is the most important thing that needs to be taken seriously, making decisions based on false hopes and wishful thinking is what brought us the genocide. I believe our people are being brainwashed today on a grand scale to make the exact same mistake we made before. I cannot imagine the result of these mistakes being any different then the results we had previously. Turkey was and still is our existential threat and one of the main components of NATO, Russia is Turkeys regional rival and the main target of NATO. Some things should not have to be explained, it really is sad that even when explained the level of brainwashing prevents some people from seeing reality for what it is. It was not NATO that prevented Turkey from attacking Armenia for over 90 years, it is not NATO that guards our border with our main enemy who is too scared to fire a single shot at us. If you think what is going on at the Azeri/Artsakh border is bad then what do you think would happen on our Turkey/Armenia border if Russians left? Brainwashing has been unbelievably effective on our people despite efforts from people like me trying to tell my people to simply look at reality and our own history to see the situation for what it really is.
      I respectfully disagree

Cyprus is not in NATO. Why would NATO intervene? Although there was wide spread condimnation and weapons embargo (by US) against turkey. You still didn't answer my question BTW. Greece and Turkey were on verge of war in 1996 and US stopped that.

The NKR Defense Army has informed about intensive movement and
accumulation of Azerbaijani troops in different directions of the line
of contact. Commenting on this information, the spokesperson for the
NKR President said such movements are usual but it should not be
interpreted as an attempt to attack.

May 9 is ahead, the day of liberation of Shushi in Artsakh war and the
day of the victory of the Armenian army, and every year the
Azerbaijani armed forces try to spoil this holiday. It is possible
that the Azerbaijani armed forces will try to escalate the situation
this time, more intensively than in the previous years, considering
the state of things following the four-day war.

In the meantime, Aliyev visited Tartar which borders with NKR and
awarded his soldiers, including the one who had beheaded the soldier
of the Armenian army. This is a symptomatic act. Azerbaijan proves it
is a terrorist state. Besides, Tartar is the gate of Azerbaijan, and
Russia saved Azerbaijan twice there, stopping the counterattack of the
Armenian armed forces in the vicinity of that town.

The cruelest battles of the four-day war took place there, the
Azerbaijanis carried out terrorist acts in this direction, ravaging
the soldiers and peaceful people. Our soldiers who fought there say
that the population of Tartar and the army ran away in panic but the
Armenian counterattack was stopped for some unclear reason.

While Aliyev was awarding his murderers, Edward Nalbandyan is voyaging
around the world, spending huge amounts from the treasury and calling
on the international community during his voyages to ask Azerbaijan to
behave itself. Today he announced about it in Finland.

Since the four-day war Armenia has been living between two realities.
On the one side is the whole garbage, the obsolete reality of the
ruling system, the political class which believes in trade in the
territories of Artsakh and begging for justice from the world, i.e.
guarantees for their own selves. On the other side is Armenia, the
citizen, the soldier, which is straightening its back and putting
forth clear demands and outlines its responsibility. It does not beg
for peace and guarantees, having realized how the enemy can be made to
behave itself. It is its awareness of its rights and duties, which has
been manifested on these days. And this awareness will result in
taking all responsibility for the country and its problems by the
            society.

It has started, this process cannot be reverted.
Josef? You too started to bring Lragir stuff into here?
Have you noticed that regularly, Lragir and other George Sorose's employees inject propaganda venom of half thruths and inflated the rest stuff into our Artsakh struggle?
There are lots of other discussion rooms in this forum dedicated to our government's "treachery" or "enemy Russia". Why do you guys (especially Vrej) bring and post this kind of stuff right in Armenia/Azerbaijan military discussion?
So we do not forget that our government is "traitor" and Russia #1 enemy?
            Ok we got it. Enough.
Keep those thing where they belong but not here.

Man let there be all points of views, and let people choose what they wanna believe in.
That's how Armenia is and let's keep it that way.

Understood. It started out fine but the last few paragraphs were unnecessary and very partisan...though I think Nalbandian is a joker.

There was the Greko/Turkish war of 1971 in which turkey invaded and occupied (still does) part of Cypres. NATO did not stop the Turks.

I'm sure they're still extremely effective and cheap to buy- though very short range.
