Azerbaijan buries soldier, conceals his death

      May 3, 2016 - 12:13 AMT
PanARMENIAN.Net - An Azeri soldier was killed in the Tartar direction of the Karabakh contact line on May 1 and buried in Baku on May 2, Razm.info reports citing the results of its own monitoring of Azerbaijani open sources.
The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry and media sources, however, have yet to report on the serviceman's death.
The soldier's death was later covered by opposition TV channel Meydan.tv which said Elmar Ilham oglu Memmedov (b. 1996) was killed "in Armenia's fire."
According to the report, Memmedov was conscripted last year, but a photo featuring him in uniform suggests that the soldier should have been discharged from the army back in 2015.
Memmedov was probably a contract soldier.

Armenian soldiers’ bodies not decapitated or desecrated, says Azerbaijan

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. The bodies of the soldiers handed over to Armenia have not been decapitated or desecrated, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry told APA on May 3.

All the bodies of the Armenian soldiers were handed over in the presence of international observers, and no traces of violence were detected on the bodies, Azerbaijan’s ministry said.

Earlier, Armenian media has reported that an Azerbaijani serviceman allegedly beheaded an Armenian soldier and that the same serviceman was awarded by Azerbaijan’s president. Armenians also spread the photos of the serviceman.

The defense ministry stated that the photos released by Armenian media are fake, calling this another provocation against Azerbaijani armed forces.

“The serviceman in photo actually took part in military operations. As he was the commander of an artillery platoon, he didn’t join the military operations on the frontline,” Azerbaijan’s ministry noted.

“It is ridiculous that the Armenian murderers, who are proud of massacring 63 children and scores of women and elderly people with special brutality in Khojaly town, compare themselves with us,” the defense ministry said. “It’s only typical of Armenians to make heroes out of those who commit atrocities against humanity.”

I'm now 99% sure they come to Armenian news sites , copy-paste everything while changing Azerbaijan to Armenia and claiming as it happened to them.

That's why they've really started to outsource, especially with Israelis.

Azerbaijani military officer: I destroyed 12 armed vehicles of Armenian Army

Seeing our strength, Armenian servicemen dropped their guns and fled, says Azerbaijani officer.

In early April, the Azerbaijani Army retook a number of heights in various directions during a counter offensive operation aimed at preventing the provocation of Armenian armed forces. One of these heights is located near the Tapgaragoyunlu village of Goranboy and Talish village of Terter region. The Azerbaijani Army showed great courage in liberating those strategic heights.

One of the military officers who stood out with their bravery in the fighting is captain Mirdamet Baghiyev.

“In early April, we marched on the Armenian Army in order to prevent their provocation, eliminating many of their personnel and armed vehicles. After seeing our strength, they dropped their guns and fled. The personnel’s morale was high enough. I destroyed 12 wheeled and armed vehicles of Armenian units,” he said.

The military officer said they at any time expect the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s order to liberate our occupied lands.

For his bravery on the battlefield, Mirdamet Baghiyev was awarded the third-degree order “For service to the motherland” under Supreme Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev’s order.

Baku: Armenia to halt OSCE MG process by recognizing so-called regime in Karabakh

Baku. Malahat Najafova – APA. Armenia will put an end to the OSCE Minsk Group process by recognizing the so-called regime in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, Hikmat Hajiyev, spokesman for the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, told APA on Tuesday.
He was commenting on Armenia’s allegations that the government is going to recognize the so-called regime in Azerbaijan’s Nagorno-Karabakh region occupied by Armenia.

Hajiyev noted that if the so-called regime is recognized, the Minsk Group will be deprived of the mandate.

“This is an extreme example of insult and arbitrariness against the Minsk Group process, its co-chairs and the international community,” the spokesman said.

Hajiyev urged the international community to give an adequate response to these provocative actions of Armenia.

The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict entered its modern phase when the Armenian SRR made territorial claims against the Azerbaijani SSR in 1988.

A fierce war broke out between Azerbaijan and Armenia over the Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan. As a result of the war, Armenian armed forces occupied some 20 percent of Azerbaijani territory which includes Nagorno-Karabakh and seven adjacent districts (Lachin, Kalbajar, Aghdam, Fuzuli, Jabrayil, Gubadli and Zangilan), and over a million Azerbaijanis became refugees and internally displaced people.

The military operations finally came to an end when Azerbaijan and Armenia signed a ceasefire agreement in Bishkek in 1994.

Dealing with the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is the OSCE Minsk Group, which was created after the meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Helsinki on 24 March 1992. The Group’s members include Azerbaijan, Armenia, Russia, the United States, France, Italy, Germany, Turkey, Belarus, Finland and Sweden.

Besides, the OSCE Minsk Group has a co-chairmanship institution, comprised of Russian, US and French co-chairs, which began operating in 1996.

Resolutions 822, 853, 874 and 884 of the UN Security Council, which were passed in short intervals in 1993, and other resolutions adopted by the UN General Assembly, PACE, OSCE, OIC, and other organizations require Armenia to unconditionally withdraw its troops from Nagorno-Karabakh.

Below is a video from November 2014 regarding the visit of the Turkish SF commander to the positions of the AZ. Army. He was accompanied by Hikmet Mirzoev, the Azeri SF commander who has been missing since the beginning of April. He lead the assaults. He has not been seen in public since April 2nd. Not sure if he's dead or been sacked/imprisoned for his failures.
