I think we just cant compare tiny armenia with our 20$ billion GDP with these countries. Even iraq and jordan is much bigger and they have lots of money. Maybe we could compare with latvia, estonia and cyprus. They have much better economies though. Does lebanon have advanced arms industry?

I think a great way to develop Armenia's economy through the IT sector would be thus:

We know that at this time, Armenia itself cannot sustain the development of IT sector on it's own (from the demand side) given the size of the economy and the population. So, whatever Armenian companies make, they have to export to make real profits. For that, it usually takes a few years to be able to establish yourself in foreign markets. At the same time we have a lot of really wealthy Armenians abroad who donate millions to the country through various charities for a lot of different things. Now, don't get me wrong, I think they're all great people for doing that and deserve a lot of thanks from all of us. But, instead of doing just that, they could invest in Armenian startups and eat up the losses that are inevitable for the first few years until these companies start entering the international market and making profits.

What do you guys think?

Lebanon has no industry as such. The economy is a service economy, like Georgia, sercicing the huge arab world markets.
The few industries, like textile are often armenian owned.
By the way, they used to have local production of winchester hunt rifle ammunition production, armenian owned.

Իմ կարծիքով անընդհատ պատերազմական վիճակում գտնվող երկրի՝ ինչպիսին Հայաստանն է, զինված ուժերի շտաբի պետը պետք է լինի բյուրեղի պես կարծր ու հաստատուն, բյուրեղի պես մաքուր ու «թափանցիկ», ինչպես նաև նպատակասլաց ու նախաձեռնող անձնավորություն՝ լինելով ռազմական գործի գիտակ: Ու նաև կարողանա համոզել այն անձին, ով տվյալ պահին զբաղեցնում է գլխավոր հրամանատարի պաշտոնն՝ ի պաշտոնե, բանակի նահանջի ու առաջխաղացման անհրաժեշտության առումով: Չեմ կարծում, թե մեր գեներալների շարքում չկա այդպիսի մեկը՝ հատկապես որ գործողի պաշտոնավարման ժամկետի ավարտին մնացել է ընդամենը մեկ տարի:

Հատկապես մայիսի 9-ին մեր մյուս հերոսների հետ միասին չեմ կարող չհիշել մեր փառահեղ զինվորականներից երջանկահիշատակ գեներալ - գնդապետ Գուրգեն Դալիբալթայանին: Նա առաջին զինվորականներից էր, ով պատերազմի սկսվելուն պես թողեց անհոգ կյանքը ու ընտանիքի հետ միասին շտապեց հայրենիք ու անցավ նրա ազատագրման, պաշտպանության գործին: Բախտ եմ ունեցել շփվելու նրա հետ ու միշտ հիացել եմ նրա համեստությամբ, նրա իրական մեծությամբ, հայրենասիրությամբ, պրոֆեսիոնալ զինվորականությամբ ու էլի շատ հատկանիշներով ... պատերազմից շատ չէր խոսում, մի քանի դրվագներ է միայն պատմել: Վատը չէր ասում հիմնականում, սակայն նշում էր, թե ով ինչ օգուտ է տվել, թե ով ինչ դեր է ունեցել պատերազմում ու բանակի կայացման գործում: ՀՀ առաջին գեներալ գնդապետն է և նա օրինակելի է ոչ միայն իր զինվորական մեծ ավանդով ու գործով, այլ նաև իր համեստ ապրած կյանքով: Գեներալի խոշոր գրած օպերացիաները 13 էին, 12-ը իրականացվել է և 12-րդը Շուշին էր, իսկ 13-ը առայժմ չի իրականացվել և այն կոչվում է "река на реку" ... կարծում եմ հասկանալի է թե ինչու և օրն է դրա նպատակը: Նա արդեն մեզ հետ չէ և հիմա կրտսեր Դալիբալթայաններն են որպես սպաներ մեր մյուս հերոս տղերքի հետ Ղարաբաղում կանգնած թշնամու առաջ ու պատվով շարունակում են հերոս պապի գործը: Ննջիր խաղաղությամբ պարոն գեներալ, տղերքդ ուժեղ են ու ամուր կանգնած են սահմանին ...
