5/19/16
The Interstate Commission on Military and Economic Co-operation of the Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO) is due to discuss greater co-operation between its member states' defence industries at a meeting scheduled for 20 May.
The commission meeting - involving CSTO member states Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Krygyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan - is to take place in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, local media reported on 18 May.
Manufacturing and research and development co-operation are reportedly on the agenda, with an emphasis on agreeing priority avenues for military technical co-operation with a view to the establishment of joint ventures.

Russia MFA explains difference of relations with Armenia and Azerbaijan
11:45, 20.05.2016
Region:Armenia, Karabakh, Azerbaijan, Russia
Theme: Politics

Russia-Armenia relations are allied relations, whereas Russia-Azerbaijan relations are strategic partnership.
Alexei Pavlovsky, Director of the Fourth Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, told the aforesaid to Armenian reporters in Moscow.
“Partnership means that we cooperate; strategic means that the cooperation is long-term,” Pavlovsky noted. “The objective factors, which are at the basis of Russian-Azerbaijani relations, are clear: close geographical position, economic ties, [and] the large Azerbaijani diaspora in Russia. We call this strategic partnership.
“[But] Azerbaijan, unlike Armenia, is not an ally of Russia. We have a politico-military union, [and] several agreements on mutual assistance—including military—with Armenia.”

The nightmare will start when they will impose on us a common currency. We should be vigilant and never accept a common currency.Originally posted by armnuke View PostTajikistan will join it next, Russia wrote off Uzbekistan's debts to make it join too.
As for those free trade deals, it was planned to have it first with Vietnam, but nothing yet.
I'm so proud as an Armenia to be in a xxxxing union with these -stan countries.

Your elitism is blinding you to the possibilities. The more countries that join the more powerful the union becomes.Originally posted by armnuke View PostTajikistan will join it next, Russia wrote off Uzbekistan's debts to make it join too.

Azerbaijani troops shelling Karabakh positions all night long
YEREVAN, May 20. /ARKA/. This night passed over without casualties on
Azerbaijan-Karabakh contact line, the press office of Nagorno-Karabakh
Republic’s defense ministry reported Friday morning.
According to the press release, the opposite side was breaching the
cease fire over the night by using light and sniper guns.
The ministry says that Karabakh troops are doing whatever is necessary
to defend their positions.
On April 2, 2016, Azerbaijan launched military assaults along the
entire perimeter of its contact line with Nagorno Karabakh. Four days
later a cease-fire was arranged. --0---

Would rather instigate a civil war than poison kids. Doesn't seem hard to make them destroy themselves. Would rather use Azerbaijan as an excuse to build up an arms exporting industry. Use their aggression to justify creating a "security zone" in north Artsakh and Nakhchivan.Originally posted by Joseph View PostCan we just poison their water supply and be done with it?
Armenian politicians keep reciting Soviet bull xxxx. They have no idea how to lead a country in the 21st century. Just pillage their own people while maintaining the status quo. The Azeris are nothing if our leaders chose to be on the offensive. But that would mean empowering Armenians at home.
