Food, uniforms intended for Armenian army on sale in Poland


Baku – APA. Food and uniforms produced in Armenia for the country’s armed forces are on sale in Poland, lawyer Garik Galikyan wrote on his Facebook page, REPLIK.am news website said.
“One of my friends wrote me something, that I do not know what to say. My 8-year-old son is collecting his pocket-money to buy food and send them to the soldiers. We have people spending their last money on soldiers, but then it turns out that uniforms and canned goods produced in Armenia for the country’s armed forces are being sold in one of the shops in Bielsko Biala, Poland.

Products and military uniforms with Armenian-made inscription on them are being sold for 500 zloty ($160). My friend saw it with his own eyes, even the seller asked him to translate the inscriptions on the products. I ask the relevant bodies to investigate this case,” wrote Galikyan.

Just read somewhere that parts of Shahumyan have been liberated during the 4 day war. The article cites a Russian newspaper as the source. Has anyone heard anything about this?

Where is it sold and who is the seller. I have a close friend in Poland and will ask him to check it out.

Don't bother. Just because it's there doesn't mean our military stole from the warehouses and gave it to them. In the US they have military surplus stores. They usually have a section where used military uniforms, patches, insignia, equipment, etc. are sold. Sometimes they have uniforms from other countries too. Collectors and movie studios are the primary customers. There is a secondary market for stuff like this. Honestly, the Armenian military should even consider selling to them and make some extra cash to buy what they need.

There is a shop in Yerevan which sells patches and uniforms as well. Nothing unusual.
Also, it might be that Lubawa Armenia is promoting them in Poland.

Say what you will about Manvel, but the man was there during the fiercest battles the first time around, and he's always prepared to be there. The man's got a huge framed picture of General Andranik in his living room. His patriotism is unquestionable. The guy did what he had to do to get to where he is, according to the unwritten laws of Armenian nist u kac. The only differernce between Manvel and all the oligarcs is that Manvel is a straight shooter, while all the others are sugar coding under the table types.

Newspaper: Armenian specialists achieve progress in creating
drone-neutralizing systems

YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd newspaper has learned that Armenian specialists,
who—as a result of the four-day war which Azerbaijan had unleashed in
early April—are engaged in creating systems that neutralize drones,
have achieved significant progress.

It is assumed that such devices will soon be manufactured, and their
practical tests will start.

This fact is important because, as a result of the four-day war, it
was proved that the only problem for the Armenian armed forces is the
fact that the adversary—i.e. Azerbaijan—used drones.

Zhoghovurd tried to get a comment from Artsrun Hovhannisyan, the press
secretary of the Minister of Defense of Armenia, regarding the
creating of systems that destroy drones.

“This segment, these matters have always been at the focus of the
Ministry of Defense,” he said in response. “[But] this is a domain
where successes can never be considered final; you need to work
towards new achievements.”
