T-72B to B3M costs $234,000 for the Russian Army.
T-72B3M is very close to the T-90. Actually the T-90 was going to be named T-72BU, but they named it T-90 to attract more sales from idiots like the Azeris.

From what I've seen the majority of our tanks are T-72B, yes.

The best IFV would be a heavily armored one on a T-55 chassis.

The Azeris have not received a large part of their BMP-3s because of debts. Razm.info has an article on this.

You cannot do much when your entire defense budget is $500 million.

i feel like tank modernization should be our thing. Its a nice economic boost, and the quick tank repairs from the April war showed how skillful we can get.

It is no secret that Armenia has already deployed anti-aircraft, air-defense and missile-defense systems in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan and has held military exercises in Karabakh to simulate possible attacks and air strike scenarios on Azerbaijan’s oil and gas infrastructure (Azatutyun.am, October 15, 2012). Moreover, former prime minister of Armenia and current member of parliament Hrant Bagratyan, along with retired Armenian Major General Arkady Ter-Tadevosyan, threatened Azerbaijan with the use of nuclear weapons and dirty bombs by the Armenian side (Armtoday.info, April 29; Rusarminfo.ru, May 3)."

Այս օրերին Ադրբեջանը հարաբերական անդորր է պահպանում իր երկրում հունիսին անցկացվող «Ֆորմուլա 1» Եվրոպական մրցարշավը չձախողելու նպատակով, այլ ոչ թե միջազգային հանրության ջանքերի շնորհիվ: Այդ մրցարշավն անցկացնելուց հետո նա վերսկսելու է սողացող պատերազմի մարտավարությունը, որը ենթադրում է նաև «ապրիլյան» տիպի լարվածության ալիքներ:

Դժվար է պատկերացնել, որ երբևէ Ադրբեջանի ձեռքերն այսպես կապված կլինեն: Ուստի մինչ մրցարշավի մեկնարկը հայկական կողմը աննախադեպ հնարավորություն ունի անգամ առանց կրակոցի հետ բերելու կորցրած տարածքները: Եթե Երևանը կամ Ստեփանակերտը դրանք հետ վերադարձնելու հստակ պահանջ ներկայացնեն Բաքվին՝ հակառակ դեպքում սպառնալով ուժով վերականգնելու Արցախի տարածքային ամբողջականությունը, ապա Ադրբեջանը, ամենայն հավանականությամբ, հետ կքաշվի մինչև ապրիլի 1-ի բնագծերը:

Նման ազդեցություն կարող է ունենալ նաև հարձակման նպատակով մեր զորքերի ցուցադրաբար կուտակումը համապատասխան ելման դիրքերում: Բնականաբար՝ այս երկու քայլի համադրումն ավելի արդյունավետ կլինի: Անշուշտ, գոնե տեսականորեն պետք չէ բացառել նաև այն սցենարը, որ Ադրբեջանը միանգամից չի կատարելու հայկական կողմի պահանջը, ինչի պարագայում նա ստիպված է լինելու այդ տարածքները հանձնել մեր փոքրածավալ ռազմական գործողությանը լուրջ դիմադրություն ցույց չտալով և նահանջելով: Երկրորդ դեպքում տարածքների ազատագրման գործողությունը պետք է կատարվի արդեն սերունդ տված միջին տարիքի կամավորների ուժերով:

Այս երկու սցենարների դեպքում էլ կարող ենք վստահ լինել, որ Ադրբեջանը լայնածավալ գործողություններ չի ձեռնարկելու և, ի վերջո՝ զիջելու է գրաված տարածքները: Իսկ եթե այս օրերի բացառիկ հնարավորությունը չօգտագործվի, ուրեմն այս ամենը՝ Ադրբեջանի ապրիլյան ագրեսիան, Արցախի Պաշտպանական բանակի անպատրաստ վիճակը, մեր հակահարձակման կասեցումը, տարածքների կորուստը թաքցնելու միտումը և դրանց հետևած մյուս բոլոր գործողությունները դավադրություն է, որին մասնակցում է նաև Սերժ Սարգսյանը:

I think our air defense network and forces have more or less negated the Azerbaijani air force, especially their MiG-29s. (Which are most susceptible to our air defense systems like the S300, Kub, Pechora). The actual gap between our air force and theirs is not very big either. Due to our small size, our air defense is also heavily concentrated Leaving them little room to maneuver and operate.

The separatists/Russian Army in Donbass have been able to entirely ground the Ukrainian Air Force in the East using Pantsir-S1 and Buk systems. The Ukrainian Air Force is much larger and formidable than Azerbaijan's, however poorly maintained. When the Ukies were flying around Donetsk in early summer 2014, they were getting shot down like with just MANPADs.

As you can see, there isn't much of a difference. They have one squadron of MiG-29s, most I am sure would be shot down if they attempted to use them.

I know your a flyboy Eddo, and your knowledge is invaluable. Based off what I have read, you are very experienced and knowledgeable of aviation. However, it is not a priority that Armenia purchases any more aircraft other than, perhaps, attack helicopters. It would be nice if we were to modernize our SU-25s to an acceptable standard, many of them look like they are begging for re


Something I saw NO ONE address: Their drone fleet. How much of it did they lose in April?

They have 34 drones total. How many did they lose in April, and how much of that can we verify?

I suspect they may have lost the majority of their fleet, or at the very least half of it.



Yes, we have plenty of tanks but the quality is severely lacking. We could have the best crewmen in the world, modern tanks still provide clear advantages.

The baboons have su-24's and modernized mi-24's and mi-35's :/

The Mi-24 and the Mi-35 are the same thing. Mi-35 is just the export designation for the Mi-24V. They have SU-24s, but they are far from serviceable.
