And let me remind you, the EEU is a failed union which members are ANTI ARMENIAN, and its largest economy is currently sanctioned. As time has shown us, Russia and the EEU is a failure, and all those who thought we would prosper under the EEU were wrong.
Armenia never had a choice in the matter. This is where most of you lose perspective and as usual resort to insults.... You cannot rely on one power for security and its rival for your economy. I knew the EU was a no go right from the beginning because of this. This is the common sense perspective many users still lack as it comes from experience. I have always wanted sovereignty for Armenia but unlike many people I understand that we do not have it and cannot have it so long as we cannot guarantee the most basic security of our country. You guys repeatedly forget about the real threat facing our nation and as usual you offer absolutely no solutions for it. Any moron can resort to name calling. Serj is to blame for not being creative enough on he domestic front but outside that he is no more responsible for Armenia's predicament then you or I. The EU cannot and did not ever imply nor promised us security. The economy is irrelevant if you are dead.

Economy is everything when you want to defend yourself. On that note Armenia has a terrible economy and cannot purchase proper arms becoming a slave to Russia only because of an arms race. Who sells our enemy weapons? That same turd. It's really painful but what can one do ? Blame another!!! Yes , lets blame Sargsyan. His the most easiest target. The EEU was never supposed to better our nation , but extend its choke on Armenia. Now that Armenia is strangled , Russia is playing all Romantic with Azerbaijan and we are butt hurt. The thing Azerbaijan know all too well is that becoming tooo close to Russia can be a disaster for even them. So they prefer to open there economy to Russia and sign any deal that benefits both , something Armenia cannot.

We need to let go of the thought that Russia is our ally. Russia is an acquaintance but not a friend. We need to invite the Diaspora to Armenia to open whatever businesses they want without being slaughtered by high taxes and corrupt payments. The people need to work. Lastly we need to become a lot more friendlier with Iran and especially Georgia. We can tell Russia to minimize its troop deployment as Armenia and Turkey will be in negotiations and lastly with Azerbaijan. Our nation will not be a backyard for Russia's ambitions. Our nation will be a centre for innovation, art , music, culture etc. This is where we should be headed.

Btw I'm not anti Russia but anti Armenias slowing down. We don't need to have the most tanks in the region when we can create weaponry destroying those tanks before they even surface. We need to extend our mindset on not catching up , but creating something new. We can't look at ourselves and dream but act. Don't we want a prosperous nation? We are so obsessed with our neighbor Azerbaijan, that they are not even recognized if you ask any random on the street if they've heard of them. Anyways , blaming Serj or anyone else is easy. Maybe we need to make changes , and really harsh ones not mattering the results. If the people unite , no one can say a single word.

Asala, please tell those ideas to the head of our country and his rave party. Hope they will stop the grab and hear.
Funny thing is, you guys defend someone who is the main perpetrator in ascension to EEU, main head of giving up our electrical system and other wealth to Russia to cover the budget deficits left from robbery that his immediate circles and he mainly with his brother have caused, thus making Armenia a rug under Russia's feet.
You guys blame people who argue from geopolitical perspective of security needs, but turn blind eye to the actual circle that in essence have emptied that factor from any benefits to us.
Do not blame Serjik if you think so.
But stop empty philosophies about slave mindedness or russophilia or generation.
If you guys think blaming everybody on one hand and acting as an ostrich on the other will keep you in right you're wrong.
That taxi driver was maybe a smart ass but he not stole 4-6 billion from your nations pocket. Neither anybody from old generation. Serjik's government and circle did...
If you think that Armenia's people are not good enough for your vision, then there is not much to talk about.
What kind of economic alliance can help, when so much is stolen that any become irrelevant?
Who says Pavlik or Jirair are not pro Europe?
But they are 100% pro people.
Politicians or not is another matter.
Ps. I m not blaming you for anything. Just when you put this ideas, which I think are very good, I get frustrated that none can be done in this conditions. And I Blame HAK, Serjik, his clan with all the oligarkhs.
Sefilian/Pavlik actions maybe not smart. But something HAS TO BE DONE.
Or else, nothing good will happen

The EEU is absolutely a total joke. We did not need to be choked into a so-called union to trade with the same country we have been trading with since independence. It brought nothing new to the Armenian economy and will never bring. Zero investments, even the railway is not functioning to Russia to transport goods. No member countries bordering Armenia, and nothing to learn from any of the members (other than Kyrgyzstan maybe? ). Further, the EEU successfully cut off Armenia from Iran. Now we can't go to Iran with our cars (awesome!). But most importantly, weapons procurements of Armenia from countries outside the EEU will be subject to customs duties, and of course Russia and the other apes will know what we're buying. Pure loss and it's being proven as time passes by.

Hakob , If we overthrow the Government, can you tell me someone better to lead this nation?
Can you promise me that corruption would be tackled ?

I am not pro Serj , but I think his paving the way for something new. I believe what he wants to do with the Government is actually quite smart. That is why the likes of Pavlik and Co stormed the HQ..
Patience and stability is the key to Armenias success. We need to avoid wars and build our economy. You are talking about 4 billion dollars and that is things I hear all the time in Armenia, statements with no proof. It is what it is and you need to live with what you got. Your complaints are as if you are living under the rule of Kim Jong Un .. This mentality has to change. There are plenty of people who became successful in Armenia , no offense but the people who always blame Serj over and over again are the ones who prefer to not work. It's 5 am in Australia and I'm just about to go out to work. I won't be home till 7 tonight. We live a hard life too and pay high taxes. Should I storm a police HQ ?

Most of Armenians would dream to have work that is well paid like yours.

Try living in Armenia with no starting capital and then we will talk.
You have no idea of what's happening in Armenia and how the people there live and view the things. You are so , so out of reality it's scary.

Anyway this is not the thread for it.

How did Azeris react on the frontline during the events in Armenia ? I didn't really saw/see that much action from their side during the events or did I just miss the information?

Try living in Norway or Sweden with capital and let me know about the taxes. There are issues everywhere, but the biggest issue is that the Armenian human being has pessimistic genes. Well, when we're like Kurds or Assyrians without a country probably by then Armenians would know the value of having a country.
