On the night of September 2-3 the adversary violated the ceasefire agreement along the Line of Contact between Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan for 30 times, firing more than 600 shots toward the Armenian positions from weapons of different positions.

Karabakh Defense Army serviceman, Arayik Samvel Ordubekyan, 1997, received a fatal gunshot wound on September 2, at around 23:30, on the combat position of a military unit in the southern direction of the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army, as a result of Azerbaijani shooting.

According to the source, an investigation is underway to look into the circumstances. NKR Defense Army shares the grief of the irreparable loss and conveys its support to the soldier’s family, relatives and fellow soldiers,” reads the statement. NKR Defense Ministry next states that the Azerbaijani side will bear the full responsibility for its offensive actions and any consequences of those actions.

Again this is the result of lacking imagination by our government. Why not do something to stop this? They shooting our boys like targets on firing range. Why not implement a sniper attack and kill a couple hundred of their young ones so that instead of us screaming for ceasefire monitors, they will be begging for it.

Again this is the result of lacking imagination by our government. Why not do something to stop this? They shooting our boys like targets on firing range. Why not implement a sniper attack and kill a couple hundred of their young ones so that instead of us screaming for ceasefire monitors, they will be begging for it.

Because that would provoke a war that we don't want.

But do Turks need provocation to start a war? Are they motivated by enemy strength and resolution or by enemy weakness and lack of reprisals?
I would say the latest is more plausible.
Our silence and restraint gives them more boldness and lack of accountability.
I don't know if we can or not, but Israel's methods of forcing peace looks more sucessful.
I know it's not as black and white and we do answer to them, but they know that at the end we tend to help things to quiet and accept azery actions.
I think that any time that Turks know that they can swing their sword and not get an answer, they will do so.
I don't know about killing a couple of hundred Turks will help, but they will stop only if they know there is a swift reprisal for killing Armenian solder for sure, not just talks.
Our soldier on frontline are very resolute and ready. Turks know and are very much afraid of it.
But our government acts as if still a soviet government. A very burocratic and un appraised answer to our dead soldiers.
Our government acts very weak, not dedicated to soldier's life and not with public sentiment. Not enough, in any case.
Every Turk knows that if left to individual Armenian he would be shred to pieces. But with our government, all the levers and opportunities for taking an Armenian life bear fruit abundantly.
Unless we change our official response, this situation will continue in turk's initiative and favor.

NKR MoD stated that he was killed due to another incident, not Azeri fire.

ԵՐԴՎԵՑԻՆ ԽԱՆՓԵՐՅԱՆՑԻՆԵՐԸՕգոստոսի 27-ին Արմենակ Խանփերյանցի անվան ռազմաավիացիոն համալսարան ընդունված առաջին կուրսեցիների երդման հանդիսավոր արարողությունն էր: Ներկա էին ՀՀ ԶՈՒ ավիացիայի, ՀՕՊ-ի, Կ եւ ԱԿՀ վարչությունների բարձրաստիճան ներկայացուցիչներ՝ ՀՀ ԶՈՒ ԳՇ պետի տեղակալ, գեներալ-լեյտենանտ Ստեփան Գալստյանի գլխավորությամբ:
Ներկաները հուզված են: Բոլորը փորձում են գտնել իրենց զավակներին: «Ձեր որդին ինչպե՞ս ընտրեց ավիատորի մասնագիտությունը»,- հարցնում եմ մայրերից մեկին: «Վաղուց երազում էր օդաչու դառնալ: Երկար ժամանակ ֆիզիկապես կոփվում էր, հետո նաեւ քննությունները հաջող հանձնեց ու հիմա այստեղ է, պատրաստվում է երդմանը: Շատ էր սպասում այս պահին. օրերն էր հաշվում: Հայրս հրետանավոր է եղել: Ամուսինս այժմ էլ ծառայում է ավիացիոն զորքերում»:
«Դուք հաստատ Ալենի հայրն եք»,- դիմում եմ երեխային գրկած տղամարդուն: Նա ավիացիայի զորքերի համազգեստ է կրում և հուզմունքով սպասում է արարողության սկզբին: «Այո՛: Մեծ պատիվ է ինձ համար, որ որդիս ընդունվեց այս համալսարանը: Ուրախ եմ շատ, վստահ եմ, որ պատվով կկատարի իր առջև դրված բոլոր խնդիրները: Ես էլ եմ անցել այս ճանապարհով ու երբեք չեմ զղջացել»: «Ի՞նչն է ձեզ ոգևորում ավիատորի գործում, որով վարակել եք ձեր որդուն»,- հարցնում եմ: «Երկինքը: Միանշանակ երկինքը»,- ասում է կուրսանտի հայրը:
Ազդարարվում է արարողության սկիզբը: Նորաթուխ կուրսանտները հերթով շարքից խրոխտ դուրս են գալիս ու արտաբերում երդման խոսքերը: Շնորհավորական խոսք է ասում ՀՀ ԶՈՒ գլխավոր շտաբի պետի տեղակալ, գեներալ-լեյտենանտ Ստեփան Գալստյանը. «Դուք այսօր երդվեցիք որպես հաղթանակած հայոց բանակի շարքերը համալրող զինվորներ: Ձեզ սպասում է միաժամանակ և՛ հպարտ ու հետաքրքիր, և՛ քրտնաջան աշխատանք: 1993 թվականին դժվարին ժամանակ հիմնեցինք ռազմական ուսումնարանը, որն այսօր արդեն համալսարան է դարձել. սա մեծ ձեռքբերում է: Ուզում ենք, որ այս գործում դուք կանգնեք ավագ սերնդի կողքին, որպեսզի միասին պաշտպանենք մեր հայրենիքը, ավելի ու ավելի զարգացնենք մեր ռազմական գիտելիքները, հմտություններն ու կարողությունները»:
Գեներալի որդին կանգնած էր կուրսանտների շարքում:
ԵՐԴՎԵՑԻՆ ԽԱՆՓԵՐՅԱՆՑԻՆԵՐԸՈղջույնի և շնորհավորանքի խոսքով հանդես եկավ նաև ՊՆ Արմենակ Խանփերյանցի անվան ռազմաավիացիոն համալսարանի պետ, գնդապետ Դանիել Բալայանը. «Հարգելի՛ նորակոչիկներ, դուք հպարտանալու լուրջ առիթ ունեք, քանի որ հանդիսանում եք մարշալ Արմենակ Խանփերյանցի՝ ռազմաավիացիոն համալսարանի կարգավիճակ ստացած բուհի առաջին կուրսանտները. ստանալու եք համալսարանական կրթություն: Նոր կարգավիճակը, իհարկե, հպարտանալու լավ առիթ է, բայց նաև խիստ պարտավորեցնող: Եվ մենք մեր ամենօրյա համատեղ աշխատանքով պետք է ապացուցենք, որ արժանի ենք դրան»:
Հանդիսավոր միտինգից հետո առաջին կուրսեցիները շարային քայլքով ու խրոխտ երգերով հեռացան շարահրապարակից:
Մոտենում եմ կուրսանտների ծնողներին, հարազատներին: «Ձեր ընտանիքում զինվորականներ եղե՞լ են»,- հարցնում եմ ՀՕՊ ֆակուլտետի կուրսանտ Կարեն Հունանյանի մորը՝ Գայանեին: «Ո՛չ, տղաս առաջինն է»,- ասում է մայրը: «Ի՞նչ կմաղթեք ձեր որդուն և մյուս կուրսանտներին»: «Միակ ցանկությունս է, որ խաղաղություն լինի, ու մեր տղաները անփորձանք ծառայեն, ուրիշ ոչինչ չեմ ուզում»:
Մի ծառի ստվերում իրենց կուրսանտ եղբորը՝ Գրիշա Պողոսյանին են սպասում Էրիկն ու Գևորգը: «Օդաչու դառնալու որոշումը ինքն է ընդունել, ոչ ոք չի միջամտել»,- ասում է Գևորգը:
Մոտենում եմ կուրսանտական համազգեստով աղջիկների խմբին: Նրանք շողշողում են ուրախությունից: «Իմ դեպքում որոշիչ եղավ այն, որ մեր գերդաստանում մեծ թվով զինվորականներ կան,- ասում է աբովյանցի Մելանյան:- Նրանք հավանություն տվեցին իմ որոշմանը: Հայրս՝ Հովհաննես Ասլանյանը, Արցախյան պատերազմի մասնակից է, հիմա էլ ծառայում է զորքերում»:
«Կատարվեց մանկությանս երազանքը,- ասում է լուրջ, խոհուն աչքերով մյուս աղջիկը՝ գյումրեցի Ժաննան:- Ամեն անգամ օդաչուի համազգեստը տեսնելիս ինչ-որ բան էր թրթռում մեջս: Մեր ընտանիքում էլ զինվորական է եղել՝ հայրս, որ հանգամանքների բերումով չի կարողացել շարունակել ծառայությունը: Իմ մեջ հենց նա է զինվորական գործի հանդեպ սեր բորբոքել»:
«Պապիկս՝ Հակոբ Փափազյանը, Արցախյան պատերազմի մասնակից է՝ օդաչու,- ասում է մյուս աղջնակը՝ Փափազյան Նելլին:- Քեռիս նույնպես զինվորական է: Մանկուց եմ երազել օդաչու դառնալ: Ու դառնալո՛ւ եմ: Հանձնել եմ օդաչուական ֆակուլտետի բոլոր քննությունները: Տեսողության հետ կապված աննշան խնդիր ունեմ, ինչը վերացնելուց հետո հույս ունեմ, որ երազանքս՝ ինքնաթիռը գետնից պոկելն ու օդ բարձրացնելը, անպայման կիրականանա: Հիմա ՀՕՊ ֆակուլտետի կուրսանտ եմ: Երբ մյուս տարի գաք, ուրախ կլինեմ ձեզ հայտնելու, որ արդեն ապագա օդաչու եմ»,- ասում է ինքնավստահ աղջիկը:

STEPANAKERT, SEPTEMBER 5, ARTSAKHPRESS: Speaking at the recent weekly broadcast R-Evolution (aired by Armenia TV), Levon Mnatsakanyan gave his assurances over their military’s capability to resist any offensive. He the Ministry fulfilled its tasks to the full during the fighting.

“Heaven forbid, if operations of the kind resume, the Defense Ministry will be capable of fulfilling the tasks set. I have said on one occasion that apart from defensive operations, there are also other kinds of operations that will force the adversary to give up its plans. I give my assurances that the Defense Army has enough power and means to fulfill any task,” he added.

Elaborating further, the minister added that the Armenian side possesses the required quantity of offensive weapons and anti-drone vehicles to fire back Azerbaijan when necessary.

“Our capacity and potential will allow us to have a technical military progress in the armed forces and the Defense Army also in future,” Mnatsakanyan said.
