Warlick rules out Karabakh agreement without “returning of
 territories” to Azerbaijan

 Oct 22 - 2:08 pm

There will be no agreement without the return of occupied territories
of Azerbaijan, or without talks on the status of Nagorno-Karabakh.

Ambassador James Warlick, US Co-Chair of the Organization for Security
and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Minsk Group, stated the
aforementioned at a press conference in the Azerbaijani capital city
of Baku, reported Trend news agency of Azerbaijan.

He noted that many elements for conflict resolution are on the
negotiating table. Warlick added that these elements include the
return of refugees and IDPs to their native lands and deployment of
peacekeepers in the territory, and stated that all these elements will
 be the subject of discussions.

“The question of Nagorno-Karabakh’s status has been put forward by
[Azerbaijani President] President Ilham Aliyev, and we welcome it,”
 said Warlick.

The OSCE Minsk Group US co-chair also stated that the presidents of
Armenia and Azerbaijan can discuss various elements during their
meetings, and that such meetings should continue.

“The elements mentioned should be discussed as a package in order to
resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict peacefully,” he said.

The Minsk Group co-chairs have repeatedly stated that the status quo
in the conflict is not sustainable, added Warlick, according to Azeri
 Press news agency.

In his words, however, there is no information yet on the next meeting
 between the two presidents.

But the co-chairs expressed their hope that the FMs of Armenia and
Azerbaijan will meet in Hamburg, Germany, at the regular session of
 the OSCE Ministerial Council.

 Hayastan or Bust.

As if anyone cares what Warlick would lick. China literally took over all of South China Sea infringing on many countries territory, including that of the Philippines. In return the Philippines told the US we are done with you and Obama is “Son of a hor”. Last year Putin said “England is just a small island no-one pays any attention to”. Won’t be long when the US will be just a big island no-one pays any attention to.Originally posted by Haykakan View PostWarlick rules out Karabakh agreement without “returning of territories” to Azerbaijan

Warlick is absolutely right in what he says.

This exactly the agreement that Armenia under Serge Sarkisyan signed, I think it was in Kazan.

The only reason why this agreement collapsed, was because the Sultan wanted also ( the Soviet ) Karabagh.

Therefore if the Sultan has a change of heart and accepts Karabagh’s independence then all the agreements are ready and signed as Warlick describes.

What is pathetic on our diplomacy.

Despite all the sniping casualties as well as the mini wars, our side has not withdrawn these agreements from the table.

These point have been highlighted on numerous occasions by analysts such as Ara Babyan and others.

.Politics is not about the pursuit of morality nor what's right or wrong
Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.
Great politicians pursue the National interest and small politicians personal interests
