It is a infred laser. It can't be seen by the naked eye, but if you have a nightvision device (goggles) the beam is visable.

The formation of the reconnaissance unit of the Armed Forces of Armenia began in September 1991, when the country became independent, and this process was completed on November 5, 1992. Subsequently, this date became Reconnaissance Troop Day in Armenia.

The leadership, high command, and reconnaissance officers of the country rate the level of constantly-improving readiness of these troops highly.

Military experts believe that the reconnaissance troops have been one of the historically key components of the Armenian army.

Traditionally, an award ceremony is held on Reconnaissance Troop Day in Armenia.
