I was wondering what that gun is as well, doesn't look like any M16 or AR I've seen before unless its been heavily modified. Liking the scope on it though! Does anyone know what it might be?

From magazine, rear sight, barrel/front sight/muzzle break and buttstock shape it looks like AR15.
Barrel looks like special, 20-24" long?

I have never seen a hand guard in that shape. With little research found that it is made for grenade launcher.
Most likely he got it on the black market. Link ...
