Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

    Further problems.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Soldiers arrested for using force against Azeri soldier Rafig Hasanov before he was captured

Gazakh Region Military Court passed a judgment on arresting Maharramov Ilgar Gabil and Valiyev Ramin Adil, the soldiers, who had used force against Azerbaijani soldier Rafig Hasanov before he was captured by Armenians, the captured soldier’s parents told APA’s Karabakh bureau.

The letter sent to the soldier’s parents by Azerbaijan Military Prosecutor’s Office says that the above-mentioned soldiers faced charges under article 332.2.1 (infringement of authorized rules on mutual relation between military men at absence of subordination relations) of the Criminal Code.

Perhaps they'd be wise to shift their budget on TAVORs to better healthcare and food.

...and they are having problems with Daghestanis.
        More casualties.
        ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Have fights in Azerbaijan's north with militants from Dagestan caused casualties from both sides?

The central office of the Interior troops of Azerbaijan's Interior Ministry refuted information about holding an operation on the northern borders, which resulted in losses among military men.

"Interior troops do not hold any operations on the northern border, therefore, the information about their participation in any fights with militants on the border with Dagestan and even casualties do not conform the reality", said the press service for the Interior Troops.

It should be reminded that the Zerkalo newspaper spoke of conduction of a special operation against religious extremists, once fighting in Chechnya and Dagestan. The group includes Chechen - Afghans and local residents. Though not large, the group demonstrates desperate resistance. Militants, experienced in military actions in mountains, escape from persecution", says the newspaper.

"Fights cause casualties to both sides.

The law enforcement bodies of Azerbaijan are closely contacting the due structures of Russia to avert passage of militants to Dagestan", notes the newspaper.

Meanwhile, the spokesman for Interior Troops called this information "completely false". He confirmed that some divisions of interior troops are deployed in country's north but only for participation in planned trainings.

"The unhealthy stir around any movement of the interior troops is surprising. These are just trainings held by the plan, adopted by the supreme command for this year", said the spokesman.

He noted that information about any incident with participation of the Interior Troops of Azerbaijan would have been received by the central office, yet no emergency situation have been fixed in this region so far.

        --------------
        11:15

Despite official statements, special operations are held against militants in country's north, reports Turan agency with reference to well-informed sources, reports Zerkalo newspaper.

Thus, measures are taken for neutralization of militants, coming from Dagestan in the Gusar woods. This implies religious extremists, once fighting in Chechnya and Dagestan. The group includes Chechen - Afghans and local residents. Though not large, the group demonstrates desperate resistance. Militants, experienced in military actions in mountains, escape from persecution.

The operation mostly involves the internal troops of Azerbaijan. At the same time, experienced militants are also involved.

Fights cause casualties to both sides.

The law enforcement bodies of Azerbaijan are closely contacting the due structures of Russia to avert passage of militants to Dagestan.

It should be reminded that the press service of the armed forces on November 11 refuted statements of mass media about special operations in Guba and Gusar regions of the country. By the same source, next trainings are held in the said zone.

At the same time, in the said zone the law enforcement bodies held a series of operations to neutralize armed groups of radical Islamists.

Thus, on September 8 the National Security Ministry informed about neutralization of a group of terrorists in Gusary. One of the "Forest Brothers" leaders Ilgar Mollachiyev was killed in early September in Dagestan during an operation against militants.

The law enforcement bodies stated the involvement of the Forest Brothers group to an explosion in the Abu Bakr in Baku August 17, which caused death to 3 people and injured another 15.

With oil at less than $60 per barrel, there will not be much of a budget...

By the way, this is also interesting:
            ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan loses $1 bln due to August events in Georgia this year

According to the estimates of the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan, SOFAR lost $1 bln due to the armed conflict between Georgia and Russia in August of this year, reports the press service of SOFAR.

Notably, as of September of this year the SOFAR assets made AZN 8,320,000 ($10,216,000).

Enter the Lezgin and Talysh factors

Our secret service should take advantage of the fact that less than 85% of "azeris" are ethnic "azerbaboons". There are two other groups that seek independence and they are the Lezgins and the Talysh. These two peoples, who live at the fake republic's northern and southern extremities respectively have tried to become independent in the past only to be violently surpressed.

              Lezgins

The Lezgin have been discriminated by the baboons and there is an attempt at mass azerification of their people. The baboons shrink their population numbers in censuses and everything.

They are a 95% majority in the province of Qusar and have strong minorities in the adjacent provinces. They have an independence movement called Sadval. From my conversations with Lezgins, they are sympathetic to the Artsakh cause. But what's important to note about the Lezgin population distribution is that the province of Qusar shares a border with none other than... bingo, you guessed it, Russia! And the situation is like North Ossetia/South Ossetia where the majority of Lezgins live in adjacent Dagestan in Russia. Are you thinking what i'm imagining? One wrong move baboons that's all we want.

And this stuff has been discussed before. Russia and the baboons have spat over the Lezgin issue a number of times, i've read them in news articles.

              Talysh

The Talysh have been more successful at independence stake than the Lezgins. They once had their own, albeit short-lived, autonomous republic in azerbaboonjan before they were threatened with genocide and gave in to the baboons. The Talysh incidentally share a border with Iran, their ethnic cousins

Hmmm, so would you say these recent events in Azerbaijan are just the logical result of the strain on their budget coupled with the presence of Moscow as the only door for Azerbaijan to knock on after what happened in August? Or is this small number of incidences just a coincidence?

I hear they already had a problem with soldier morale to begin with, maybe these conditions have made it worse?

Thanks for the info, it is interesting to note how Azerbaijan has plenty to lose if they make the wrong moves against Moscow.

Though calling them baboons in an informative and well structured post to me hinders the seriousness of the discussion. Please refer to them as Zoravar does with a simple "Azeri or Azerbaijan".

When one sees sh*t on the ground they call it sh*t.

Plus this forum, like most, is a far cry from being an academic forum.

                    Good posts Federate and Zoravar!
For the first time in more than 600 years, Armenia is free and independent, and we are therefore obligated
to place our national interests ahead of our personal gains or aspirations.
