If it ever comes to it, that kind of offensive would open up a pandora's box for AAF. A lot more opportunities. This would only be possible if most of Azerbaijan's forces are tied up in NKR frontline fighting. 
Each of the three rivers run through the cities/villages. Its not an ordeal, besides the Ganja river. It runs right through that massive city and splits it in half.Seizing this territory would only act as leverage in territorial negotiations. Taking Ganja wouldn't be the top priority and is very unlikely, but besieging it or simply threatening Azerbaijan's hold over it would suffice.The Shamkir line is do-able for sure, I think that would be the most likely frontline in scenario. Mingachevir dam and Ganja city in range of Armenian artillery and armored forces will put a kick in the Azeris step, politically.
