The tank concept hasn’t changed for over a century. It is always making them heavier with more protection resulting with expensive heavy drags that are always defeated with newer missiles.
I don’t mind them if they are used as moving artillery in safer zone. When it comes for attacking and advancements they are a death wish.
The ideal present “tank” today is the Kornet-EM mobile. If they can do some modifications to make it the near future perfect “tank” ….
Separate the important assets (personnel) from the main unit, with180 degree movement of the arm.
Extreme protection of the operators with auto-eject separation of cabin on high impact.
Auto-load variable missile on the main unit. Keeping it light and agile with moderate protection.
All the above will be way cheaper than purchasing a load of useless steel with layer upon layers of useless protection with large engines to drag them.
See rough sample.
