They are meant to be false bomb/CAS targets for enemy aircraft. They are literally meant to be seen from sky. That would be a massive waste of money.

As mad as this sounds. This is a common tactic even the mighty US Army used it.

The most infamous use of these dummy vehicles was back in WW2 when the US Army created they're "Ghost Army" which fooled the German Wehrmacht in thinking there was a Army.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_dummy here's the link, rather interesting.

There called Dummy Tank's and military dummies, few have been used in warfare but only in most arbitrary moments.

There are also things called Quaker guns which are quiet interesting and maybe useful for our Army.

Another Artsakh soldier killed by sniper fire. Rest In Peace Gor Hovhannesyan

How many years are we to see our young fighters get sniped and nothing is being done to permanently remove this threat. These are legitimate reasons to fubar them back to the baboon tree with flash backs and severe ptsd.

We give alot of casualties in one year from our inactions to decimate the frontline back kilometers as new buffer zones

Shifting a frontline forward isn't going to stop or hinder snipers.

If everytime they snipe, we shift......then what?

Right now a shift is important because they sre too close to city and the new airport which is under threat and none operational to civilian flights for safety reasons.

Artsakh has a right to exist and thrive. Closed airport is very bad.

I'm not saying decoys are useless, just that decoys imitating Patriot TEL's are not very useful to us.... Thanks for the writeup...
