What if the answer is in your question. If truly there was no human loses.
All I know they should retaliate by 10 fold.

I'm afraid if we don't respond in kind, this is going to become a new point of attrition. After years of killing off soldiers one by one, they've seen no loss in our resolve or position. You can "hide" these weapons, but the only safe place is directly behind a mountain where it won't do much good.

So that leaves destroying our equipment one by one with guided missiles (child's play, these aren't Tomahawks but you don't need that level of sophistication), or worse, going after batches of troops congregated in buildings. They'll just ratchet it up to see what actually provokes a response, then they'll use what will look like our disproportionate response to justify land force attacks. Simple games and I'm surprised we haven't seen these yet. We're not interested in gaining or holding more territory, so anything that baits us out of our defensive posture is good games for the Azeris.

I don't know what the answer to this is, but doing nothing, or just destroying one of their pieces of equipment, is not enough. I think you have to see an offensive to "recapture" Lala Tepe or similar where they realize there is a very high political (embarrassment) price to pay for these games.

^ Any sort of offensive will trigger a full scale war.. they are nearing their peak as a country economically, militarilly..etc. If we can minimize our losses for a few more years it will be enough to force them to officially recognize artsakh.

Well we do have those Iskanders. Why not fire a couple?

And sacrifice people's lives until they collapse? Even if they lose all their oil and are buried in a mountain of debt, these attacks are not going to stop. Especially if Armenia's leaders really have no idea how to stage an offensive. Maybe all the money they've been stealing from the MoD is coming to light?

Our report says Azeris used a guided rocket.

Politics is not about the pursuit of morality nor what's right or wrong
Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.
Great politicians pursue the National interest and small politicians personal interests

The answer is as I have said for years.....pre-empt for defense meaning taking out immanent threats, not a major offensive, not an eye for an eye.

In this case they have taken out a defensive target no threat to them directly. there should be a political response first, even raising it to intetnational level, we are trying to understand are they getting ready to invade or was it just a target of oprrtunity.

Eitherway the leadership must let all countries involved in the peace process know that we will take any measure to securr the safety and liberty of Artsakh including as of now removing any conceivable threats or Azeri plans for future close to the contact lines as we see fit. We will not be responsible for Azeri losses and do best we can to minimize them.

Taking out an OSA is an embarrassment. Who ever ordered it to be there should be punished severely. This is the most idiotic move. No professional would ever allow such a weapon get so close to enemy territory.
