    Well right on.
See your reaction to a fantasy? This is why you cannot base your strategy on a fantasy.

They are already selling their resources to Turkey and they don't need to retreat out of Armenia to do that. And What will the US say if their close ally signs a military deal with their rival? Do you think they will allow something like that?
Well exactly. Why would they, why would he, why would she, why and why...

I'd ask myself "why would Turkey give up secularism, why would an islamist party gain intense power, why would a political party attempt to mess with the army (considering coups and declarations against islamism) back then in 2001.
I'd also ask "why would Turkey break ties with Israel?

And things in Nato are not going well at the moment.

Well, yes, totally. I should have dropped a line saying that "it's a fantasy sample, don't you ever think I do seriously imply these all". In the end they are as realistic as the "Greater Armenia" or "Turks to recognize Armenian Genocide".

Anyway I'm going to buy some bacons now.

Do you think Russia would like to lose its sphere of influence to the West and Turkey? Because you can bet Azerbaijan will choose Turkey over Russia any day.

Right now in the Caucasus a chess game is being played between the great powers and Russia needs its base in Armenia to keep its influence and power in the region.
The world doesn't revolve around money alone like you seem to think.
If it did, then logically, the US would choose Iran over Israel. The US in such case would much more to benefit economically, and politically, would get the Arabs and the Muslim world off its back. And yet, it chooses tiny, insignificant Isarel with its meager resources. The keyword: Geopolitics

Right now Azerbaijan has lost its Queen and its in Check.

Last thing Russia will do is ( an experiment, ) a silly move to lose the game.

Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.
