Armenia’s Military Police celebrate 26th anniversary

May 5 is marked in the Armenian Armed Forces calendar as the Military Police Day.
The MoD Military Police support the enforcement of law and discipline in the Armed Forces, the study of the morale and psychological condition of the personnel in military units and management bodies’ staff, as well as the raising of legal awareness. It is thanks to the Military Police officers that the number of offenses has dropped significantly in the military over the past years, and the military discipline has improved.
A solemn event marking the Military Police Day took place on May 5. Military Police Chief Col. Artur Baghdasaryan congratulated the MP Officers, wished them peaceful service. A number of officers were awarded with departmental medals and diplomas, others were promoted.
