You need to get your head out of the sand.. Our only enemy is not Azerbaijan.. Armenia needs to build there Air Force. Modernizing the SU-25 is just a waste of time . How could you say they always become obsolete.. Our Air Force is a complete joke. If it was up to me instead of modernizing the SU-25 I would use the money for UAV's. But modernizing our Air Force with SU-30SM gives us something new.. Eventually we will buy more.. Geographically our country doesn't need a powerful Air Force but who said our borders will stay the same. History has taught us one thing.. Borders always change..

Go for it! Buy all you want. See if there will be any mountain left that is not ripped open, rivers and ground water polluted to pay for it all. Not sure where else the $$$ is going to come from even at very subsidized and discounted pricing. And by the way, they do become obsolete in 10 years. This whole deal was to make aliyev upgrade his air defense. Watch what they will be buying in less than a year. Our "purchase" was only a Russian bait for the azeris.

Also, I am not buying the timing of Belarus purchasing Su-30SM at the same time. It stinks something.
We will know when Mehriban (not an azir desert) will pay Lukashenko a visit with her knee pads on.
