Haykakan Zhamanak: Mikael Harutyunyan does not go away

Haykakan Zhamanak "talked to the chief military inspector Mikael Harutyunyan of Armenia to determine the reliability of rumors that he intends to move to the Czech Republic, where his family had already made investments. Yerkir: Azerbaijan hides actual number of losses

“The Azerbaijani side continues violating ceasefire regime but is hiding the facts not to disappoint the people,” Armenian Yerkir newspaper writes. The newspaper mentions that Azerbaijani side also hides the fact that it gets an adequate response and incurs losses for its actions.

According to the newspaper, the Azerbaijani army commanders quickly bury the dead soldiers, while the documents read they are deserters or missing. It was already reported about three Azerbaijani soldiers who were killed.

The newspaper writes that according to new information serviceman Ulvi Guseynov was killed on January 6, 2011, while Zamin Mamedov – on January 25 were killed. “The Azerbaijani side has not reported about their death officially,” Yerkir writes

Another one was killed in road accident


Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. Two servicemen of the Azerbaijani Army were killed as a result of accidents. According to APA, one of the incidents took place in a military unit of the Shamkir Military Division. Overtime serviceman Seymur Sabir Gadirov, 24 was killed by lightning stroke.

Another incident occurred in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Serviceman of the Azerbaijani Army Osman Firdousi Aliyev died in a road accident.

Press service of the Defense Ministry confirmed the reports to APA.

Seymur Gadirov was drafted to the Army by military commissariat of Kurdamir region, Osman Aliyev – by military commissariat of Julfa region.

Grow up. Bell has been a long tine member here and his contributions are often very valuable. He is from the UK and knows more about Armenian history, culture, and archeology than 99% of Armenians. He is a pain in arse much of the time but mostly to provoke those that are prone to starting flame wars or who make extreme statements without any regard to fact. Being a long-time member, posting mostly anti-Armenian and crappy posts, doesn't mean someone is privileged to something. What a totally biased viewpoint, if you think he knows more of our culture than 99% of the Armenians, you are just totally stupid. Alright, he has spent a lot of time on some parts of Armenian archeology, most than the others on this forum, but this does mean that what he says is true. Probably, provoking is a one-way street for you. Anyway, I agree with arakeretzig that you are doing a bad job, probably you don't know what provoking really means, nor what is means for someone to "understand" Armenian culture, history etc.

Your probably one of those Armenians who have "enormous" admiration for someone who is non-Armenian and shows a little interest in Armenian affairs, even though they are actually denigrating our culture and nation on many ways. Have some self-respect Joseph.

Some quotes of the "oh-so-amazing" expert in "Armenian culture":

-My advice to everyone: never trust anything an Armenian says about the Armenian Genocide, and only a fool stakes their reputation on evidence provided by Armenians.

-Europeans, in general, understand the proper way to treat archaeological monuments and sites of cultural importance. I see little evidence of any "European" values at work in the disgraceful way monuments in Armenia have been treated since the end of the Soviet period. In Armenia, pseudo-religious medievalist or middle-eastern values seem to predominate. The various "restoration" treatments inflicted on Tatev since the 1950s are cultural crimes by modern standards, standards that today's Armenia has signed up to through various international charters. In Greece, maybe there are nationalist nutters who want to entirely rebuild the Parthenon, and have priests enact daily blood-sacrifices on its altars - but such people are recognized as being insane fantasists. In Armenia, and transfer the fantasy to an historic Christian-era monument, and it seems they would be considered entirely sane, get approval from the Armenian Church, and even get some guilt-ridden criminal oligarch to pay to realize the fantasy.

-Though, if I were to extrapolate from my experience of dealing with Armenians, I'd say that if you are not getting death threats from idiots or extremists then you are doing it wrong.

Azerbaijani Defense Ministry confirms death of two more of its troops
Today Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry confirmed the death of two of its soldiers. As the Azerbaijani news agency APA, one of Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry serviceman 'died from lightning, and another - "died in a car."

Soldier extended service Gadirov Seymour, born in 1987, he served in Shamkhor body of the Azerbaijani army. It is reported that he "died from lightning strikes." Gadirov was drafted from Kurdamir region.

Another case of death of Azerbaijani soldier occurred in the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic. It is reported that Osman Aliyev, designed from the Julfa district, was killed in a car crash.

Recall that, given the loss of these two soldiers, this year the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry confirms death of 36 of their soldiers. At least 11 of them were victims of hazing, 6 died as a result of disease, 5 had committed suicide, 5 died in the accident, two were poisoned by carbon monoxide, 2 were killed by an avalanche, etc. At the same time, experts say, the actual loss of the Azerbaijani army is much higher losses are recognized by the Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan.

Let me me say my two penny's worth.

As far as I am concerned I do not see this forum as a pro Armenian forum.
I see it as a debating forum of Armenian issues as well as other issues primarily by Armenians but not exclusively so.

On a number of my postings I may have appeared “anti Armenian “.
I have no regrets, that is how I felt about an issue at the time..
However what does matter is if it is truthful, honest and factual postings.

Any “undesirable” poster should not be judged whether he/she is pro or anti Armenian but is his statements factual, truthful and honest views.

I will leave others be the judge of that.
