- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)

- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

According to Mr. Kananyan, as proof of the concessionist intentions of the ruling regime one can cite the example of the opening of the Meghri-Kapan roadway. “If there was no question of surrendering those territories the same road from Meghri could have been taken on till Mijnavan and from there, via Kubatli, to the entrance of Kapan. This way, the road all the way till Khntzoresk would have traveled through level pasturelands and much more convenient for automobile travel.”

To the above-mentioned facts Tigran Khzmalyan adds that in 2003 the population of Lachin and Karavatchar reached 12,000 but that today it has dropped to around 5,000. This raises the perplexing question – Who is responsible?

Karabakh Authorities Do Not Value Work of Reporters
    [ 24 December 2008 | 13:31 ] Karabakh, politics |

Nine Karabakh organizations sent a letter to mass media outlets requesting that the press devote more coverage to everyday life in the liberated territories. Today, at the “DeFacto Club”, the editors of the “Aravot” and “Azg” newspapers, Aram Abrahamyan and Hakob Avetikyan, agreed with that their request was valid but noted that reporters face a myriad of obstacles when sent to these territories to cover life there. Mr. Abrahamyan commented that when his paper sends correspondents to these areas they are told not to mention the roads leading to the various settlements and the number of residents, etc.

“There are restrictions in place that make it difficult for us to do our job, but in general we really don’t cover these territories in depth,” Mr. Abrahamyan noted. Mr. Avetikyan opined that most of the blame for the light coverage rests with the Karabakh authorities. “Karabakh authorities are even worse than those in Armenia. They don’t view reporters as important and thus we get no information,” the “Azg” editor stated and added that in terms of the territories Armenia has suffered a defeat given that, “we haven’t been able to resettle those lands.”

Federate, I know you mean well but I don't understand why you keep quoting materials from Hetq and ArmeniaNow to make a political point against official Yerevan. Those entities in question as well as A1 Plus and Radio Liberty are set up by foreign funds to oppose anything and everything the pro-Moscow government in Yerevan does. Trust me, had official Yerevan openly stated that they will not give up an inch of land in Artsakh you can be sure that ArmeniaNow and Hetq would be putting out articles attacking the rigid war mongering posture of Armenian authorities. Stop promoting these traitors.

Thank you for knowing that I mean well, my friend. But if any other media would report the amount of defeatism, neglect and carelessness our authorities have shown in these key Armenian provinces then I would be glad to quote them. It's a shame that I have to resort to these tools for info. And their coverage of this just so happens to be true given the official statistics of NKR demographics and eye-witness accounts by friends from Armenia.

I know they are anti-Russia and I do not support their stance, nor do I ever quote their rubbish articles regarding how "good" the Western values or whatever are. Rest assured that I am pro-Russia just like every sane person is. My intentions are only to highlight what I perceive as the wrong approach in regards to this specific issue and to initiate dialogue that will hopefully lead to more pro-Armenia results such as for example keeping the status quo in Artsakh. This last article is general news (and not an opinion piece by one of Hetq's agents) which involves journalists from good sources like 'Azg'.

How are they traitors? What part of their reporting isn't true?

guys do react like me. actually I'm reading a book called green and black (or artsakh diary) by tatul hakobyan. it relates the historic of artsakh conflict since it's beginning of 1988 until today. and as the book has been published during the second half of 08, many issues are actual and together of the historic of the conflict, the author is inserting from time to time his own comments. so I just disregard these comments and consider the facts he is narrating.

Karabakh conflict: Azerbaijan is advised to accept reality

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ A conference on “The ways of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement from the Azerbaijani viewpoint” has recently taken place at the Conrad Adenauer Foundation’s office in Berlin.

Elhan Nuriev, director of the Center of Strategic Sciences under the Azerbaijani President and Johannes Rau, member of the International Security Forum under the German Military Academy were invited as speakers.

NKR Permanent Representative in Germany Gayane Apinyan and Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Germany Parviz Shahbazov also partook in the conference, held by senior officer of the Conrad Adenauer Foundation Peter Hefele.

The Azerbaijani representative developed his speech in the context of the Azerbaijani territorial integrity and threat of the Karabakh conflict settlement by force. In response, officer of the German International Institute on Security Issues Uwe Halbach and representative of the Union of the Christian-Democratic and Christian-Social Parties in the Council of Europe Rayner Dornzaifer noted that they treated the Azerbaijani territorial integrity with understanding; however the existing new realities and facts should be taken into account in solving the conflict. Uwe Halbach added that the demand of territorial integrity is not absolute and sometimes not realistic, exemplifying Georgia. Rayner Dornzaifer advised Azerbaijan to learn a lesson from the history of Germany that, according to him, after the World War II had to accept the existing reality, thus guaranteeing peace and security in Europe. He expressed confidence that in case of refusing the territorial integrity, Azerbaijan will contribute to the peaceful settlement of the conflict and together with Armenia will be given great assistance from the Council of Europe for liquidating the consequences of the conflict.

In response to Nuriev’s threatening to solve the Karabakhi issue by use of force, Gayane Apinyan in her turn reminded how many people from both sides sacrificed during the previous war and in what unfavorable conditions the people of Nagorno Karabakh managed to uphold their natural right to liberty.

“Today, in spite of Azerbaijan’s furious armament, Nagorno Karabakh, due to its high state orderliness, is incomparably stronger and is ready to defend its independence”, she said.

Gayane Apinyan advised the Azerbaijani representatives to refuse the revanchist aspirations and respect the right of the people of Nagorno Karabakh to independence.
