Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

If you want to keep the thread more vibrant and more like you want it to be, you will have to do more than give excuses.

Not everybody is in the business of counting bullets or comparing military equipment specifications.

Military balance is all about "the path to the conclusion of winning the Kharabagh War".
In that context, within that military balance there is a very significant political element.

Without it any debate is sterile.

Politics is not about the pursuit of morality nor what's right or wrong
Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.
Great politicians pursue the National interest and small politicians personal interests

The preparatory exercises were held with participation of the military hardware that will attend the parade in Baku on the occasion of the Day of Armed Forces – June 26.

With the exception of armored track vehicles, modern military vehicles of Land Troops, Air Defense Troops and other military structures of Azerbaijani Armed Forces participated in the exercises. The servicemen, who attended the preparatory exercises, said the armored track vehicles did not participate in the exercises, in order not to damage the asphalt coverage of the square.

According to the program, following the personnel the military hardware will parade. Motorcycle group will move ahead of the military hardware. Along with the driver, an observing soldier armed with PK machine-gun will be on the motorcycle.

Military vehicles such as – Mersedes Benz, Hummer, BMC, UAZ, Land Rover Defender will participate in the parade. Various models of Land Rover Defender vehicles and Cobra armored carriers bought from Turkey’s Otokar company by Azerbaijani State Border Service will be paraded for the first time.

Land Rovers with anti-tank missiles, Internal Troops’ Hummers with Azerbaijan-made 82-mm mortar launchers, unmanned aircrafts and their mobile command-control systems will be demonstrated during the parade.

The most attractive hardware elements will be air defense systems, which is a part of Azerbaijan Air Defense Forces’ arsenal. New S-300 PMU “Favorite was added to S missile series (S-125 Pechora, S-200) this time as distinct from the 2008 parade. Azerbaijan strengthened its air defense forces with the latest model of air defense systems. This system was purchased from Russia.

Azerbaijani artillery will also parade on June 26. Howitzers of different calibers, BM-21 “Grad”, Israel-made Lynx LAR, Lynx Extra, Ukraine-made Tochka-U tactical air missile, Smerch multiple artillery rocket system, as well as automotive artillery weapons and other will be demonstrated during the parade.

The most interesting moment in the parade is the first demonstration of the products of Azerbaijani national defense industry. Thus, the IST-14.5 “Istiglal” sniper rifles, elaborated by Azerbaijani engineers, will be carried on “Land Rover” transport vehicles which will pass after servicemen with motorcycle. “Matador” and “Marauder” anti-mine carrier vehicles, produced by the Ministry of Defense Industry jointly with “Paramount Group” company of the Republic of South Africa will be firstly demonstrated in the row of military equipments of Land Forces. 6 “Marauder” and 6 “Matador” carrier vehicles will participate in the parade. Some of these transport vehicles will be armed with weapons of local production.

Besides, 9 armored personnel carriers and 3 combat reconnaissance patrol vehicle modernized in Azerbaijani enterprises, will participate in the parade. BMP model infantry combat vehicles, self-moving howitzers and “T-72” tanks will finish the march of military equipment.

NKR defense army denies reports on Artsakh soldiers capture

                  June 24, 2011 - 13:16 AMT
PanARMENIAN.Net - On the eve of Kazan-hosted Armenia-Russia-Azerbaijan presidential meeting on Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement, not only Azerbaijani, but also Armenian media are attempting to exacerbate the situation.
As NKR defense army said, several news websites reported alleged capture of 4 NKR army soldiers by Azeri intelligence agents.
“Such reports are unfounded lies and misinformation. Karabakh army subdivisions on military duty are maintaining the ceasefire and do not yield to provocations,” the defense army said.

                    War becomes more likely ...

                    http://www.rferl.org/content/armenia_azerbaijan_fail_finalize_karabakh_agreemen t/24245909.html

The presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan have failed to finalize a framework agreement to settle the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict during fresh face-to-face negotiations hosted by Russia's President Dmitry Medvedev, according to RFE/RL's Armenian Service.

In a joint statement issued after the talks, held in the Russian city of Kazan, the three leaders reported further progress toward the conflict's resolution.

But contrary to international mediators' expectations, they clearly failed to bridge all the remaining differences on the basic principles of a compromise settlement proposed by the United States, Russia, and France.

The short statement cited by the ITAR-TASS news agency said Armenia's Serzh Sarkisian and Azerbaijan's Ilham Aliyev reached "mutual understanding on a number of issues whose resolution would contribute to the creation of conditions for the approval of the basic principles." It did not elaborate.

The June 24 talks lasted for more than three hours. The Russian, Armenian, and Azerbaijani foreign ministers were also in attendance.
