Baku assures that shot down drone in Artsakh air space was not Azerbaijani.

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijan’s MD eventually decided to “react” with one sentence to the elimination by Karabakh air defense forces of Azerbaijani drone violating Karabakh’s air space.
Azerbaijan’s ministry decided to limit themselves with one sentence, declaring that “Azerbaijan has nothing to do with the drone crashed in he territory of Nagorno Karabakh.”
On September 12 at about 07:30, as a result of special actions by NK air defense forces radio warfare subdivision, in the vicinity of the village Vazgenashen of Martuni region an Azerbaijani drone was brought down. The fragments of the drone are being investigated by special services set up for the incident.
I feel so assured, thank you Azerbaijan Ministry of Defence.

After 24 hours thinking they came with this bulxxxx?

Just to be devil’s advocate, how about the possibility of the (US) drone having taken off from Georgia
destined to fly over Karabagh/Azerbaijan and to over Iran.

Journey back could have been to Georgia or maybe onward to Iraq or one of the Gulf countries where the US has facilities.

If this possibility is feasible then Azerbaboons could be telling the truth.

destined to fly over Karabagh/Azerbaijan and to over Iran.

Journey back could have been to Georgia or maybe onward to Iraq or one of the Gulf countries where the US has facilities.

If this possibility is feasible then Azerbaboons could be telling the truth.

But that is not likely at all. That drone is a bit of budget-priced near-obsolete technology compared to the more advanced drones used by the American military. And there will be plenty of US drones in Afghanistan and Iraq, right next to Iran. Why would they fly one in from Georgia? And they are intended for battlefield reconissance, or to locate targets that might move from day to day or hour to hour - anything else (the sort of thing the US might want in Iran) is done from space or high-flying jets. And, as the posted reports indicate, identical Azeri drones have been seen operating inside Azeri airspace along the border.

i think this is bigger than Azerbaijan and Armenia. I think the reason our media is very quiet is because someone told them to hush.. and i dont mean our governemnt. This might have been the spy drone for Iranian Air force training and something must have gone wrong or just purposly droped on the floor around our line of contact, also maybe somehow deactivated by your forces.

Maybe by flying this one in case xxxx happend they could still have the reason of a doubt that it was US flying around. The reported downing of an Azerbaijani spy drone over Nagorno-Karabakh will restrain Baku’s appetite for another war with the Armenians, the Karabakh Armenian leadership claimed on Thursday.

Bako Sahakian, the president of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), also said through a spokesman that the reconnaissance flight allegedly carried out by the destroyed unmanned aircraft constituted a serious ceasefire violation.

“First of all, the [Azerbaijani] aggressor will now feel more restrained because the destruction of such military hardware also shows the extent of the technical sophistication of our army. That will certainly have a quite sobering impact on Baku’s behavior,” Sahakian’s press secretary, Davit Babayan, told RFE/RL’s Armenian service (Azatutyun.am).

The NKR Defense Army announced on Wednesday that its forces shot down the Azerbaijani drone while it flew a reconnaissance mission over Karabakh’s eastern Martuni district on Monday. The Armenia-backed army released several pictures of what it described as the drone wreckage.

The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry denied that information late on Thursday. In a short statement cited by the Trend news agency, it said “Azerbaijan has nothing to do with an unmanned aerial vehicle that crashed in Armenian-occupied Nagorno-Karabakh.”

The ministry also reported that an Azerbaijani army officer was seriously wounded at an unspecified section of the Armenian-Azerbaijani “line of contact.”

Armenian and Azerbaijani forces have previously not claimed to have shot down air targets since a May 1994 truce that halted their bitter war for Karabakh.

Babayan described the drone destruction as “factual evidence” of truce violations by Azerbaijan. He said field representatives of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe should consider expanding their monitoring of the ceasefire regime in the Karabakh conflict zone after this incident.

The incident was reported by the Karabakh Armenians six month after an Azerbaijani-Israeli joint venture began assembling Israeli-designed drones for Azerbaijan’s armed forces. The Azerbaijani military has also reportedly purchased such aircraft from Israel and Turkey.

According to Colonel Nikolay Babayan, commander of Armenia’s air-defense forces, Karabakh army units used special “radioelectronic” equipment to shoot down the spy plane.

“It is very difficult to hit and even locate unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) because they are made of special composite materials,” Babayan told Panorama.am on Wednesday. “But we managed to do that by using special devices.”

The official did not specify the type of anti-aircraft weapon that was reportedly used to down the UAV. He said only that Azerbaijani drones regularly carry out reconnaissance flights near Karabakh.

“This time, the UAV violated the border, as a result of which its flight was ended by the joint work of our air-defense troops and radioelectronic forces,” added Babayan.

Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի նախագահի մամուլի քարտուղար Դավիթ Բաբայանը, «Ազատություն» ռադիոկայանի հետ զրույցում մեկնաբանելով Ղարաբաղի Պաշտպանության բանակի կողմից անօդաչու ինքնաթիռի ոչնչացման հետ կապված իրադարձությունները, դրանք որակեց որպես «շատ կարեւոր փաստարկ եւ նյութական ապացույց» առ այն, որ Ադրբեջանը խախտում է զինադադարը:

«Որովհետեւ այդ ինքնաթիռի մնացորդները գտնվում են Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Հանրապետության տարածքում, որն իրոք փաստում է, որ Ադրբեջանը կիրառում է այդ ինքնաթիռները եւ պարբերաբար խախտում է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Հանրապետության օդային սահմանը», - ընդգծեց Ղարաբաղի նախագահի խոսնակը:

Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Պաշտպանության բանակից չորեքշաբթի օրը հայտնեցին, որ սեպտեմբերի 12-ի վաղ առավոտյան Պաշտպանության բանակի հակաօդային պաշտպանության եւ ռադիոէլեկտրոնային պայքարի ստորաբաժանումների կողմից ձեռնարկված հատուկ միջոցառումների արդյունքում Մարտունու շրջանի Վազգենաշեն գյուղի մերձակայքում շարքից հանվել է ադրբեջանական զինուժի անօդաչու թռչող սարք: Հաղորդագրության համաձայն` խփված ինքնաթիռի մասերը գտնվում են Պաշտպանության բանակի համապատասխան ծառայությունների տրամադրության տակ:

«Իմ կարծիքով` սա կունենա քաղաքական տեսանկյունից երկու կարեւոր հետեւանք», - «Ազատություն» ռադիոկայանի հետ զրույցում ասաց Դավիթ Բաբայանը. - «Նախ եւ առաջ, ագրեսորը ավելի զսպված կզգա իրեն, որովհետեւ նման ռազմական տեխնիկայի ոչնչացումը ցույց է տալիս նաեւ մեր բանակի տեխնիկական հագեցվածության աստիճանը, ինչը, իհարկե, բավականին սթափեցնող ազդեցություն կունենա Բաքվի պահելաձեւի վրա: Երկրորդը, ինձ թվում է` ավելի շուտ քաղաքական-իրավական դաշտում է ունենալու իր ազդեցությունը»:

Նա մանրամասնեց. - «Մինչ այժմ, մենք բոլորս գիտենք, որ ադրբեջանա - ղարաբաղյան հակամարտության գոտում գոյություն ունի ԵԱՀԿ-ի դիտորդական առաքելություն, որի ղեկավարն է ԵԱՀԿ-ի գործող նախագահի անձնական ներկայացուցիչ Անջեյ Կասպշիկը: Ցանկացած խախտման մասին նա տեղյակ է եւ իրազեկվում է: Եվ սա նշանակում է, որ դիտորդական առաքելությունը երեւի թե պետք է է'լ ավելի խստացնի, գուցե նաեւ ընդլայնի, տեխնիկապես ավելի հագեցնի իր գործունեությունը, որովհետեւ մինչ այժմ այդ առաքելությունը հիմնականում դիտարկում էր, օբյեկտիվ պատճառներով, զինադադարի ռեժիմի խախտումը հասարակ զինատեսակների պարագայում` տարբեր տիպի կրակոցներ, դիպուկահարների գործողությունները: Բայց հիմա մենք տեսնում ենք, որ արդեն տեխնիկական մի նոր շերտի հետ մենք գործ ունենք, եւ այստեղ, իհարկե, պետք է, իմ կարծիքով, համապատասխան հետեւություններ անի նաեւ միջազգային հանրությունը»:

Ղարաբաղի նախագահի խոսնակի կարծիքով` «պետք է նաեւ ավելի մեծ ուշադրություն դարձվի քաղաքական բաղադրամասի վրա, այն է` Ադրբեջանում իրականացվող այդ հակահայկական, նացիստական նույնիսկ գաղափարախոսությունը, որովհետեւ սա այդ խախտման` ոչ միայն զինադադարի, այլ ընդհանրապես կայունության եւ խաղաղության խախտման ամենաբարձր ոլորտն է. դրանից հետո նա իր ազդեցությունն է գործում նաեւ ավելի ցածր կարգի խախտումների վրա, մասնավորապես` կրակոցները եւ այլն»:

«Ինձ թվում է, որ այստեղ միջազգային հանրությունը պետք է կտրուկ վերանայի իր քաղաքականությունը եւ ավելի գործնական քայլեր ձեռնարկի Ադրբեջանի նկատմամբ», - ամփոփեց Դավիթ Բաբայանը:
