If to strike at the baboons you have to realise cruise missiles are rather slow.
On of the reasons and aims of the S-300 was to counter them.

take out their anti-aircraft radars SA3/4, missle launchers, fighter jets, etc etc., btw that's why i was saying short range, there's no point in striking baku with a cruise missle. 1 of their S300's will be around baku, it leaves the other, where will they place it? they can't cover all of Azerbaijan with it...
they don't have tunguska or pantsir-s1, so SA3/4 would be very vulnerable.

or you need couple of bomber jets like the SU-34 that would not miss the target. In regards to avoiding S-300s defenses in flight.......if there is a will, there is always a way.
