It is not an SVD (Dragunov) and it is not a VSS (Vintorez).
It looks like an AK Kalashnikov sniper variant with 10 and 20 round magazines. There seems to be a supressor mounted and a modern stock which may have been mounted by our guys.
I may be able to provide more details after seeing better photos.
In the meanwhile, here is a clip about this sniper version of the AK with 20 round magazine, as well as SVD and VSS.

No you don't get it those are VSS magazines right there which are distinct from the 7.62x54R round mags that the SVD carries or both the 7.62x39 Akm/Ak-47 and 5.45x39 Ak-47 magazines. That is a 10 round 9x39 mm VSS magazine which has a distinctive shape to it. Also the VSS is a much more deadlier rifle than an SVD, using larger 9x39 super sonic rounds, with greater accuracy, precision and range, as well and fully auto firing capability.
The other distinctive feature of the VSS is the suppressor which encompasses the whole barrel length of the rifle. The top gas tube which the SVD has is not present on the rifles, so we can clearly from there tell that it is not an SVD. The only other plausible explanation of this would be the AS VAL:

So that is my piece of explanation (I study firearms and have a good amount of experience with them).

^^^very nice, I wonder how quite they are and what is the effective range......do they make higher capacity magazines for it?
