The differences between the original and new version of the Krunk are huge. The new version can be classified as an entirely new model.
The similarities are limited to the twin boom tail and possibly the wings, landing gear and possibly surveillance cameras.
The fuselages are completely different and the powerplant is "push" versus "pull" layout. Impossible to say how much better is the new one.

I'll leave it to Eddo's eagle eyes to spot more differences and elaborate on them.

One question about this:
Is it supposed to fly, or was it shown as a trophy?
The camera is absent, wich may indicate recycling of one of the most valuable parts?

There is a huge difference of volume between this fat trophy, and our Krounks.
Is the difference in volume essentially a fuel tank (range), or electronics?

It was shown as a trophy. I don 't think it will fly again.

The Israeli made UAV is much larger than ours. They are in a different class that is larger, flies further and carries more electronics. Of course, it costs a lot more too. No problem for the Israelis who's entire economy is supported and subsidized by the USA and various Yahoodi groups. Our engineers, designers and technicians are truly doing miracles with the little finances they have. The Krunks and the smaller new UAVs prove there is absolutely no lack of talent on our side.

We shouldn't underestimate the importance of the Hermes which was shot down over Karabakh. I'm sure our engineers will eventually work to reverse engineer some of its capabilities and encorporate them to our UAVs. The technology that bird carries is very precious for the development of our national weapons program.

this will take a while though, hermes costs 2 million $. not a few pennies.

Thanks for the information, analysis and link to the other article. I guess I jumped the gun a bit, but because of the non-stop Matthew Bryza fiasco and the recent praise showered upon azerbaijan and turkey by Vice President Biden and countless other actions against Armenia's interests I'm immediately suspicious of anyone connected to the US government meddling in Armenian affairs. His only suggestion in that article seemed to be "let turkey mediate because it is so relevant and influential in the South Caucasus", not exactly a direct call for Armenia's subjugation and destruction but still very dangerous and unrealistic. Even the state department currently sticks to the "Minsk group is the only way to go" line and rejects linking Artsakh to Armenia-turkey negotiations or discussing Artsakh in the United Nations.

I originally jumped the gun too. After reading a few of him writings, I think that when he suggests involving Turkey, what he means is that the Turks role should be to calm the Azeris down and accept fait accomplis -the loss of Artsakh. This is my reading of it.
