Indeed, that's probably what they're doing right now. Lack of funds and experience is what slows everything down. There is a highly interested party to the south of us that would love nothing more than to get their hands on Israeli UAV technology. Iran has 20+ years of experience of reverse engineering military technology and is currently working on reverse engineering the RQ-170 Sentinel that went down over its territory (though may take some time). Maybe we could/should start working more closely with them...

Of course, it's at the risk of US backlash if they find out.

I agree 100% on the issue of working closely with the Iranian...that could really stirr up some problems for Armenia. Maybe the Russians would be more willing to help us in this...if not...we have to work by ourselves, which will definitly take alot of time!

Oh man you put me on the spot ZORAVAR .....I will do some research when I get home from work but obviousely it is major modification/redesign. Wish I had better close up photoes. So far I would guess that you have a new engine, prop (obviousely since it is three bladed), slicker fuselage (higher airspeed), I see no skyball.....anyway let me look more into it I hope I can come up with some logical assumptions.

Normally, in piloted planes yes.
But this thing seems tooooo fat. What kind of electronics does need such space?
And how do you do, if you need extra autonomy/range on a UAV?
There is no external tank option, isn't it?
Anyway, as we had it intact, our guys must have the plans...

Համաձայն ՊԲ օպերատիվ տվյալների՝ մայիսի 6-ից 12-ն ընկած ժամանակահատվածում ղարաբաղաադրբեջանական հակամարտ զորքերի շփման գծում հակառակորդը հրադադարի պահպանման ռեժիմը խախտել է շուրջ 350 անգամ, որի ընթացքում, տարբեր տրամաչափի հրաձգային զինատեսակներից, հայկական կողմի ուղղությամբ արձակվել է ավելի քան 1500 կրակոց:

Հատկապես ինտենսիվ խախտումներ են արձանագրվել մայիսի 9-ի տոնական և նախատոնական օրերին, որի ընթացքում հակառակորդը հրադադարի պահպանման ռեժիմը խախտել է 200 անգամ՝ արձակելով մոտ 700 կրակոց:

Չնայած հակառակորդի դրսևորած այսօրինակ ակտիվությանը, ՊԲ առաջապահ զորամասերը զերծ են մնացել հակառակորդի հրահրիչ գործողություններին պատասխանելուց և մարտագծի ողջ երկարությամբ վստահորեն իրականացրել մարտական հերթապահություն:

Normally, in piloted planes yes.

Not so, some aircrafts (ultrlights, helicopters, experimental, homebuilt) do have fuselage fuel tanks and none in the wing. A B727 has full wings and two tanks in the fuselage.

Same applies to UAVs. the smaller they are the more chance are that they have a fuel tank in the body. As they get bigger wing tanks (or cells) come into effect (the new Russian UAV, Preditor, Global Hawk, ect). You would be amazed how much more fuel the wings can hold compared to a tank in the fuselage. Our UAVs with their size could be set up to carry fuel in the wings, it is just big enough.

You can run out of space quick. First you have the Rack structures that hold the equipments. The electronics can be your surveilance boxes, the skyball, navigational boxes, remote flight control boxes, flight camera systems, wire harness/cables, equipment cooling system with ducts/valves, the engine with the accessories, etc...

And how do you do, if you need extra autonomy/range on a UAV?

Range can be increased by having more more fuel and less payload, fly at best power settings on engine (Airspeed vs fuel flow) and at the best performance altitudes, and wind.

If the UAV is designed to carry external fuel tanks then why not.
