For all the saakashvili admirers out there. It's about time President Putin cleaned up the festering mess on Armenia's northern border. It is sad that georgia remains a threat to Armenians in Tblisi, Javakhk (Not "Javakheti") and independant Abkhazia, while at the same time destorying, denying and attempting to georgianize Armenian heritage and contributions in georgia and georgian history. Note that georgia has its head very far up turkish ass, with turks owning essentially all of the airports in georgia and azerbaijanis owning the energy distribution network. Ironic that only a month or so ago the azerbaijanis mounted troops near the georgian border over their disputed "David Gareja monastery"... Well I guess it's true, those who sleep with dogs should expect to wake up with fleas. Those who sleep with grey wolves should expect to wake up battered and violated, that is if they are not axed while they sleep.

Unfortunately, I've not seen something worth the time wasted for reading, coming out from Georgia for a long time now.
They are obsessed by Russian shymeras, and are Egocentric (as every small 'Bigminded' state), and seem to be convinced, that if a butterfly shakes his wings somewhere in the Northern hemisphere, it is about Putin/Sahakashvili....

i have asked some questions to millitary specialist Arcrun Hovhanissian about our new uniforms,he says it will be more changes soon,like white boots etc....
i really dont like our boots, theyr hurt very much

Հերոսը հարձակվո՞ղն է, թե՞ պաշտպանվողը: Թերեւս կարող է լինել ինչպես հարձակվող, այնպես էլ պաշտպանվող, որովհետեւ պետք է հստակեցնելՙ հարձակվում են հայրենիքը ազատագրելո՞ւ համար, թե՞ պաշտպանում են հայրենիքը:

Այսինքն` հերոսը հանուն հայրենիքի գործողություն իրականացրած անձն է, հերոսությունն` այդ գործողությունը, որը կարող է լինել ե՛ւ հարձակողական, ե՛ւ պաշտպանական:

Գրեթե նույն հարցն է` ո՞վ է ագրեսորը, արդյոք միայն հարձակվո՞ղը, իհարկե ոչ, քանի որ պաշտպանողը գուցե եւ պաշտպանում է ոչ իր հայրենիքը, այլ գրավյալ տարածք: Ստացվում է, որ ագրեսորն ու ազատագրողն էլ որոշվում են հայրենիքի գործոնով, նա, ով ազատագրում կամ պաշտպանում է իր հայրենիքը, չի կարող կոչվել ագրեսոր: Ընդ որում, միջազգային իրավունքի նորմը սահմանում է, որ ագրեսիան պարտադիր ենթադրում է նախահարձակ կողմ, հետեւաբար պաշտպանվող կողմը, համաձայն միջազգային իրավունքի, ագրեսոր չի կարող կոչվել: Այս սկզբունքը փոքր-ինչ վիճարկելի է անշուշտ, ինչպես եւ ամբողջ միջազգային իրավունքը, քանի որ ոչինչ չկա միանշանակ, Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Հանրապետությունն ու Հյուսիսային Կիպրոսը վկա:

Դառնանք, սակայն, նահատակներին, մարտիրոսներին, կամ, ինչպես հարեւան Ադրբեջանում են նրանց կոչում, շեհիդներին:

Գաղտնիք չէ, որ Բաքվի Շեհիդների պուրակում ամփոփված են Ադրբեջանի «նահատակները», ազգային հերոսները, գաղտնիք չէ նաեւ, որ այս բոլորն ապրել են մեր ժամանակներում, նրանք նորօրյա նահատակներ են: Ի՞նչ է սա նշանակում, որ Ադրբեջանն առաջ, ասենք, 18-րդ դարում, նահատակ չի՞ ունեցել, ազգային նպատակ ու դրա իրագործման համար զոհված հայրենասեր չի՞ ունեցել: Իսկ նշանակո՞ւմ է նաեւ սա, որ Ադրբեջանն, ասենք, 18-րդ դարում, ուղղակի գոյություն չի ունեցել որպես ազգ, քանի որ չի կարող լինել ազգ ու չունենալ իր ժամանակի հերոսները, սա էլ իհարկե նշանակում է:

Ուշագրավ է նաեւ, որ շեհիդները հարեւան երկրում շատանում են: Այսինքնՙ Ադրբեջանը հերոսների կարիք ունի, քանի որ ամեն բան նրա համար կարող է ընկալվել որպես հերոսություն: Սա լինում է պարզապես միայն այն դեպքում ու այն ազգերի հետ, որոնք չգիտեն, թե ինչ են հերոսն ու հերոսությունը, քանի որ ամեն մեկի ամեն գործ կարող են հռչակել հերոսություն, եւ մարտի դաշտում ընկած ամեն մեկինՙ նահատակ:

Ինչպես տեղեկանում ենք ադրբեջանական ԱՊԱ գործակալությունից, որը մեջբերում է Ադրբեջանի ՊՆ պաշտոնական հաղորդագրությունը, Իլհար Վերդիեւը ճանաչվել է շեհիդ: Վերջինս ծանր վիրավորվել է, ինչպես գործակալությունն է ընդգծում` «իր ծառայողական պարտականությունները կատարելիս»: Այսինքնՙ մարդուն կարող են հերոս ճանաչել «իր ծառայողական պարտականությունները» կատարելու համար միայն, ինչը նշանակում է, որ ադրբեջանական բանակում ոչ բոլորն են կատարում իրենց ծառայողական պարտականությունները, քանի որ ոչ բոլորն են այնտեղ շեհիդ: Ուշագրավ է, սակայն, թե այդ ինչպես ու ամենակարեւորը որտե՞ղ է կատարել «իր ծառայողական պարտականությունները» շեհիդ Վերդիեւը:

Նա վիրավորվել է հունիսի 10-ին. «Ականի վրա սկզբում պայթել էր ինժեներա-ականազերծման ծառայության ղեկավար Զաիր Մամեդովը: Եվ վիրավոր սպային տանելու նպատակով Վերդիեւը մոտեցել է եւ պայթել երկրորդ ականի վրա», տեղեկանում ենք ադրբեջանական լրատվամիջոցներից:

Սահմանագծին ծանոթ ամեն մեկին պարզ է, որ հակառակորդ բանակների հսկողության տակ գտնվող տարածքներում ականներ չեն լինում, դրանք լինում են միայն միջանկյալ տարածքներում: Հետեւաբար ադրբեջանական բանակի ստորաբաժանումներից մեկի ինժեներա-ականազերծման ծառայության ղեկավար Զաիր Մամեդովը ականից պայթել է հենց միջանկյալ տարածքում, իսկ ի՞նչ էր նա այնտեղ անում, արդյոք դիվերսիոն գործողությունների իրականացման համար «ճանապարհի ականազերծում» չի՞ կատարել...

Ինչեւէ, սպանված սպային տանելու համար Վերդիեւը հռչակվել է շեհիդ, ինչպես Ադրբեջանի ՊՆ հաղորդագրության մեջ է ասված. «Նա շեհիդ է: Նրան վերջին ճանապարհ կուղեկցեն այդ բարձր անվանը համապատասխան»:

Ահա եւ վերջ... հերոսությանը, քանի որ երբ հերոսները շատ են լինում ու լինում են պարզապես «ծառայողական պարտականություններ կատարելու համար», ուրեմն նրանք հերոս չեն, որովհետեւ հերոսն էլ, հերոսությունն էլ այդպիսին են, որովհետեւ եզակի են ու բարի:

Here, I wanted to mention an article, full of UNPROFESSIONALISM.
This kind of BS must be avoided, to spare us the kind of marasmus, the enemy is in.
In a country condemned to be eternally in a state of war, we do need journalists who do know the minimum about military things, and front reality, before taking their pen, and pretending to write a piece of paper.
If not, they not only do discredit themselves, wich by itself is not a tragedy, but they do discredit their journal, and more so the armenian press and public opinion, if no one reacts.

1/ Shahid is originally an arabic word, wich refers to someone killed for a certain cause (generally religion, might be country or nation, or religious/ethnic cause...). It does in no way mean 'Hero', wich is a qualification of distinctive 'heroic' behavior.
You may be a hero, without being a Shahid.
Shahid must be understood as Martyr, or Nahadag in Armenian.

2/ Shahid has more so a mystic component in the Shiya branch of the islam, to wich azris belong, even if their islam, and more so shiyism is very bizaro�d and folkloric compared to traditional islam, to say the least. These guys drink vodka openly, go drunk, eat pig meat, and still claim the title of shahid.... wich in religious terms is not only nonsense. In strict religious terms, most azari shahid would deserve the disgust and repudiation of Allah the Great .... but this is an other story.

3/ So every bunch of azari killed, or dead in any 'fighting' duty is entitled to be a shahid, as any of our loss is a Nahadag.

4/ An other issue is Heroism, and definition of it. That is a moral and philosophic question. For these guys, a murderer killing a sleeping intern in the bed, with an axis, in a peaceful city, like Bucharest, is a hero.... that tells a lot about their values of shameless genocidal nation. But this is not new....,

5/ Mines are not only placed in the no man's land. They tend to be in nowdays situation, but surely not the only place. Any territory having changed hands may and is usually full of that crap. (Here I do not argue the veracity of their claim, about the place where this guy was blown, that's not the matter). As a man (gender), this journalist, he must have served in the army, and even if he is more than 45 years old, and never got the opportunity to, having served in peaceful years of soviet era let's say in Irkutsk... he must have had the curiosity at least once in those 20 years after the war, to visit Artsakh or any border district. He would have discovere pretty quickly for himself...

6/ Provided we belive in the official version, this guy, is a rare case, who deserves not only the title of 'usual shahid', but a hero, as I stated once when the official report appeared, since he seems to have walked in a minefield, knowing the risk, to help his comrade. We need to respect courage, even in the enemy ranks, to keep our moral values and high ground intact.

By filling so many unforgivable and gross errors in his article, this guy discredits our media, and insults our mind.
And thus, looses the real point, and his objective, wich should have been: showing the desperate need of heroes in country with no past, and no glorious acts of heroism, to identify itself....

It's reported that inhabitants of Parsabad village told Sahar
journalist that Azerbaijan is illegally taking more water from Araks.

`The treaty signed between Iran and Azerbaijan defined norms for the

You're absolutely right, but like you said, the same condition was not made for Greece when it bought Russian ordnance.

Besides, why is Russia selling its S-400s to Turkey, especially when the latter signed a military pact with Azerbaijan. I wouldn't say that the probability of war between the two regional powers is large, but it is definitely not small enough to make this kind of a sale. Russia selling S-300s to Azerbaijan is different because Putin knows that Azerbaijan can be taken over a weekend no matter what they have.

But Russia won't have anything better than S-400s for a long time. Why are they interested in this deal?

@Sarkis: Hopefully, Georgia makes the stupid decision to cut off the Russian military supply to 102nd Base. That may convince Russia that a border with Armenia needs to be made.

It is classical Turkish blackmail on market bids.
They need russian and chinese offers, to bring down US price, and at the end they will by US...
In the mean time, if it works, and usually it does, they try to take something from the russians and europeans, or force them from doing something (like not pass a Genocide recognition law, etc...)

Armenians wound Azerbaijani soldier

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. A soldier of Azerbaijani Army has been wounded as a result of ceasefire violation by Armenian armed forces.

APA reports that the incident was recorded in Terter frontline. Wounded soldier Efendiyev Rajab Surkhay was hospitalized.

Efendiyev was drafted from Aghstafa Regional Military Commissariat.

Press service of the Defense Ministry confirmed the fact to APA.
