Preparations for Armenia should be in hording metal and rare earths in order to do what China is doing now. Preparing for the next technological wave. Yes metals rare earths, you see China is not stupid enough to extract these resources and sell them on the open market like Devilgola wants...LOL

Things like gold and silver don’t just have a technological use but they can also be used to back ones currency. In times of hyper inflation that are just around the corner one can protect ones currency and be able to buy essential things needed. This should not be mistaken just of a competitive advantage but can be used to save the citizenry from starvation! In addition having a strong currency has values in the investment climate, like the Swiss Frank had in the days of old.

Armenia is chuck full of very valuable and useful resources that should be considered. This is not the first time Armenians have dreamed of a high tech Hayastan, well we have the resources, the only thing stopping us are fake revolutionaries trying to undermine our little home. Traitors at best if not fake Armos, I vote for the fake myself.

Farris metals have a use, with admixture's of rare earths can yield high grade magnets used in things like bearings that have no friction. No friction no loss of power, no need for lubricant’s highly useful under embargo Armenia is facing because of Devilgola’s friends you know they are in high places...LOL

One interesting note is that Tuff is valued as a state resource by Armenia. They realized a long time ago about the value of this, and it is not to carve a cross stone, the heating elements made by this are highly prized. Again if you have an energy shortage, why waste the power to heat inefficiently? Unless of course you want to have a revolution first to set your own stooge in place.

Socar, Total, GDF Suez confirm big gas find in Azerbaijan

PARIS, July 2 | Mon Jul 2, 2012 5:03am EDT
(Reuters) - Azeri state energy company SOCAR and France's Total and GDF Suez confirmed on Monday the discovery of important gas reserves in Azerbaijan's deep waters of the Caspian Sea, Total said in a press release.

Production could start at the start of the next decade, a Total spokeswoman said.

"The well results indicate gas resources of 150 to 300 billion cubic metres (bcm)...of non-associated gas with condensates in the Balakhany and Fasila formations," Total said.

By comparison, France's 2011 gas consumption was just over 40 bcm.

"It is a confirmation of the importance of the discovery, announced in September 2011 on the Absheron X-2 well," Total SA said, adding it would prepare a development plan for the project which could last two and a half years.

The Absheron field is located around 100 kilometres south east of Baku and could be developed with a limited number of wells for a first phase of development.

In Azerbaijan, Total had an equity production of 13,900 barrels equivalent of oil per day in 2011 from the Shah Deniz field in which Total holds a 10 percent share. (Reporting By Muriel Boselli; Editing by Gus Trompiz)

Armenian peacekeepers will return to Kosovo

YEREVAN. – The Armenian military unit, which conducted a peacekeeping mission in Kosovo, will return there. The 35-member peacekeeping platoon will head to Kosovo on Friday.

In all likelihood, the Armenian unit will serve within the American troops, Armenian Armed Forces Peacekeeping Brigade Commander, Major General Arthur Simonyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

To note, the Armenian military unit returned from Kosovo in February of this year because Greece had ended its peacekeeping mission there, and the Armenian platoon was partaking in the mission within the Greek military unit.

Now, a memorandum of understanding is signed with the American side.

Major General Simonyan also informed that, just like before, the Armenian peacekeepers will head to Kosovo in six-month shifts.

The first Armenian peacekeeping platoon was sent to Kosovo in 2004, and, as the Brigadier Commander told, NATO command unit is impressed by the services of Armenian peacekeepers.

Iran holds 2 Azeri nationals on espionage charges

Iran says the two Azeri nationals who were arrested in early May have been held on the charges of espionage-related activities, Press TV reports.

Speaking on the condition of anonymity, an official from Iran’s northeastern province of Azarbaijan told Press TV that the collected evidence indicates that Shahryar Hajizadeh and Farid Husseinov entered Iran under the direction of the Republic of Azerbaijan’s secret service known as MTN. They were supposed to recruit a number of dissidents in Iran to promote separatism.

The methods employed by the two agents is identical to those Israel has long been trying to implement. Israel’s recruitment and support of the extremists in the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as providing the necessary funds, know-how and training for these agents before eventually dispatching them to Iran, has led to a significant increase in the political and border tensions between the two countries.

Hajizadeh and Husseinov entered Iran under the pretense of representing a cultural institution through a fake invitation prepared and sent to them by their Iranian accomplice. On this assignment, they obtained confidential information and images from the strategic locations and facilities.

In the recent years, the Republic of Azerbaijan has turned into a convenient hub for dealings, activities, and interactions for spies and terrorists linked to Israel.

The interim U.S. attorney in Azerbaijan clarifies the issue of U.S. arms sales to Azerbaijan

Baku. Victoria Dementieva - APA. The interim U.S. attorney in Azerbaijan Adam Sterling said Armenian media circulated information that the alleged U.S. government imposed a ban on the sale of American arms to Azerbaijan, APA reports.

Adam Sterling told journalists that American companies that sell defense equipment to other states must obtain license from the State Department and submit a list of countries to which they are engaged in the sale.

"One American private company, referring to the State Department withdrew Azerbaijan from its list", - he said.

The diplomat refused to disclose the name of the company.

Sterling said that between the U.S. and Azerbaijan have long been established broad cooperation in the field of security.

He stressed that in this sphere between Azerbaijan and the United States has been no change.

It should be noted, according to data of the Armenian National Committee of America, the U.S. State Department ruled Azerbaijan from a list of countries that will be sold to the American military equipment, and refused to official Baku to sell the necessary

parts for military helicopters. The question was raised after a letter sent to Congress by the representative of the Democratic Party in the House on Foreign Relations Harvard Berman.
