Just wondering if there's a ball park figure of how much N.K./Artsakh is worth in terms of current rates of acres of land in Armenia and Azerbaijan, if hypothetically, we wanted to settle this through monetary transactions

Buying our landOriginally posted by ara87 View PostJust wondering if there's a ball park figure of how much N.K./Artsakh is worth in terms of current rates of acres of land in Armenia and Azerbaijan, if hypothetically, we wanted to settle this through monetary transactions
this is a real stupid idea
And you want to know how much it cost I'll tell you. It costs all the lives lost in the progoms around azerbaijan, the lives of the innocents in all of Artsakh who died in this war, it has cost the lives of the fedayees who have died there. So you tell me how much it costs.
And settling what, the land is our has been and will be. There is nothing to settle.

ok I was wrong but that hasn't anything to do with Artsakh and it's statues in the world. the guys is saying that we own them money or anything like it was their lands we "took". I think he doesn't relise it was our lands that got liberated

Re: Buy N.K./Artsakh?
While i agree that it is ours and that we shouldn't have to pay for it, no one else in the world agrees, or wont agree because they have something to loose by doing so (i.e. Cypress) Even Armenia even officially recognize it.
In our current state, we'd be lucky if we even got half of it. So i was just wondering, if it could be settled with money instead of another possible war sometime in the future, wouldn't it be better to pay for it in cash and be done with it, than to spend a lot of money and peoples lives on another war that we'd probably lose?

Re: Buy N.K./Artsakh?
That's not true. We might eventually lose some of the buffer zone outside of Artsakh, but we will keep most of it. Our forces are strong enough not to retreat.Originally posted by ara87 View PostWhile i agree that it is ours and that we shouldn't have to pay for it, no one else in the world agrees, or wont agree because they have something to loose by doing so (i.e. Cypress) Even Armenia even officially recognize it.

Also, even bringing up the idea of "paying" the Azeris for the land implicitly recognizes that they have some sort of property right to that land. They don't; it belongs to us and they are occupying it. Same goes for Turgay.

You don't know what an "azeri" is, do you? What's up with these ignorant comments? I'm glad you won't be fighting in the next war. If you think we're going to "probably lose" the next war then i'm afraid to even ponder what your thoughts would've been in 1988. With soldiers like you, we'd never fire a shot and drop the gun once.Originally posted by ara87 View PostWhile i agree that it is ours and that we shouldn't have to pay for it, no one else in the world agrees, or wont agree because they have something to loose by doing so (i.e. Cypress) Even Armenia even officially recognize it.
