    Re: Vote now: Armenia-diaspora-turkey relations

I appreciate very much most of Diaspora Armenians support and efforts to be helpful for the true Armenian cause; that is rejecting to sign the protocol.

Did you see our crowed march on October 9 against it, throughout Yerevan, by TV?
We in Armenia are with you!
Thanks a lot! I love you.

What you overlook is armistices and treaties are not the same thing.
Capitulation of Germany is an unconditional surrender and it's something completely different. After all there wasn't a governing body left aftermath.

This has not necessarily been the case for Ottoman Empire.

PS I do not contest the de facto validity of treaty of sevres at the year of 1920-21. My objection is to its de jure validity.

You did this treaty with Turkish Republic in 1920 and legally invalidated treaty of Sevres.

After Turkish Independence War (with Turkish Victory) England,Greece,Italy and France also invalidated treaty of Sevres by doing new treaty which was Treaty of Lausanne ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treaty_of_Lausanne )

So Treaty of Sevres is invalid this mainly blocks improvement of Turk-Armenian relation... This is more important problem than recognizing genocide.
