Didnt you watch the vid? The problem is that we have more then enoughf churches in Armenia and we do not need to waist more resources on making more churches. Put those same resources twords a more usefull endeavor and you get much better results for the country. They are making churches in my momys name, my sisters name, my lovers name-like wtf.

We got more than enough cars in North America but we keep building them and filling up the parking lots. The question is who are (they) that make the decisions? I can't afford to build a church, can you?

Companies build cars because there is a demand for new vehicles in the market place (like me buying my truck). This article refers to armenian oligarks building churches not because there is demand for them but as status symbols for themselves. These churches are mainly empty and mostly serve as monuments or status symbols which do absolutly nothing good for society. That money could be invested way better then this and i hope it will be. Lets hope its a passing fab.

I believe that we can build more churches in Armenia, but I also think that all that efforts and money put in constructing new churches could be also used for...I don't know, maybe building new residences or giving decent compensations for all the people who were left homeless because of Yerevan's renovation plans?

Samvel Karapetyan is a very important man to the RA and I agree with him as well. He has done a lot of research on Armenian architecture all over the Caucasus (including Northern Artsakh currently in Azerbaijan). Here's more on him http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samvel_Karapetyan .

I think him as an architect calling on the ceasing of building Armenian churches says a lot about how many churches we already have. Thanks for the video Haykakan jan.
