99% of Armenian newspapers are western financed including armenianow. the other day i read how emos are growing in armenia and fkin armenianow is actually showing and convencing people to do so. Where do you get that statistic from? Most Armenians get their news from television namely the state channel H1 or Armenia tv channel. I think it's fair to have a mix of news sources some Western, some Russian, and some strictly Armenian.

I read news.az almost everyday along with my other Armenian news sources. Of course not to get news, but just see what kind of propaganda they are spewing against us, sometimes interesting to read actually. In my opinion the most reliable Armenian news source is tert.am.

I agree, reading what our enemies write and think (ArmeniaNow.com, today.az, news.az) is very important. That's why I am happy with the participation of the non-Armenian, deeply anti-Armenian and biased Belly Kitty (she thinks the American "culture" is superior to anything else in the world).

Everyone knows there are media, claiming to be independent, but rather having certain political goals and Western-funding, being anti-Armenian in their core, but having an influence on naive Armenians.

What's the harm in learning English? It's a global language, everybody, especially in government, should have a basic knowledge of English. Though in Armenia it's also useful to have knowledge of Russian, as it is in most CIS countries. So it's good if government workers know both English and Russian.

Secondly, the old cold war mentality of West vs. Russia is slowly fading. Russia and the West are becoming more and more partners than rivals, and this will cement over the years. Look at relations between Russia and some Western European countries like Germany, which are very strong. There bigger threats and problems in this world than Russia, and people are more and more realising that. And you can't forget the flourishing ties between Turkey and Russia also.
