Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

  • Armenian-Greek-Serbian Alliance

This thread is dedicated to the historic friendship and alliance of Armenians and Greeks and also Serbs. Especially Greeks, who are our historic and ancestral neighbours before Turks ever came to Anatolia; our people even share the same origins. What ever the politics of today, we have to always remember our historic friends who have suffered the similar oppression and enemies that we have. I hope our relations flourish even more. Recently Sargsyan made state visits to both Cyprus and Greece highlighting our continuing close ties. To bad, we don't border them - maybe one day.

Three documents are signed between Armenian and Serbian officials

    By Times.am at 4 April, 2011, 5:59 pm

Armenian and Serbian Presidents have a private meeting today in Belgrade. After the meeting the delegations of the two countries met as well.

According to Panorama.am reporter, three documents were signed today between the two countries.

Armenian FM Edward Nalbandyan and Serbian FM Vuk Eremich have signed an agreement according which the visa regime for the diplomats and officials is removed between the two countries.

The second document was signed between Milutin Mrkonyich, the Serbian Minister of Energy and Artyom Movsisyan, head of the general department of Armenian civilian aviation.

Armenian Cultural Minister Hasmik Pogosyan and Minister of the information of Serbia predrag Markovich have signed a document on cooperation.

Note, Armenian delegation, led by S. Sargsyan is in Serbia with the invitation of Serbian President.

Tadic and Sargsyan: Armenia and Serbia for better economic cooperation

The Presidents of Armenia and Serbia, Serzh Sargsyan and Boris Tadic, confirmed in Belgrade that the two peoples have centuries-old tradition of cooperation and that the political cooperation between the two countries should be crowned with more intensive economic and cultural cooperation.

Tadic said that Serbia and Armenia should sign a number of economic agreements so that the economic cooperation reaches the level of political cooperation.

Since both countries are located in regions that have had turbulent past, Tadic and Sargsyan agreed that all regional problems should be resolved only through negotiations and in a peaceful way.

“Preservation of peace and stability is important for our citizens and regions that have for centuries been affected by destruction and ethnic cleansing, and that must change,” said Tadic.

Armenia should have good relations with as many countries as possible

Turkey has followed this policy for some years already

Serbia is a poor country hoping for help from the EU (maybe half of Serbia is pro-Russian,
but Russia is not in a position to give much help)

Greece is hoping for help from the EU to improve its weakened economy. Greece and Cyprus do not
feel strong militarily and politically, so they are always asking for help from the EU and NATO
to put pressure on Turkey. But in recent years Greeks have decided to come closer to Turkey, and
have increased trade and tourism with Turks

I don't think Serbia and Greece can help Armenia very much. Iran is a much more
promising partner for Armenia. Also why not increase ties with developed economies instead of
spending time in Greece, Cyprus and Serbia?

We should maintain our brotherly ties with Greeks as well. Both of us know who the Turks are and aren't afraid to call them out for it. Same with Serbs, who are also allies with Russia.

Greece is in much better shape than turkey, which has a serious problem with 20% of its population and with its eastern neighbor.

to place our national interests ahead of our personal gains or aspirations.

Armenians need more bearded leaders, similar to Vazgen Sargsyan and Monte Melkonian. Beards are cool.

Unless you are involved in the church, it's very rare to find bearded men in the business sector or government. Basically being clean shaven is the most respectable style and more people will take you seriously.

Well it sucks that that is how many people in the West see it. Beards are cool!
