Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Syrian Army begins use of sophisticated Russian radar system
    By Leith Fadel -
    24/04/2016

According to the Russian publication “Rossiiskaya Gazeta“, Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has begun to use a sophisticated Russian radar system that is known as the “Fara-1”. The Fara-1 is an elite radar system that can detect any human movement at a distance of 2 km and any tank at a distance of 4 km. The website “warfare.be” describes the Fara-1 as the following: “The FARA-1 is all-weather automatic surveillance radar to detect moving targets (personnel and vehicles) against background of earth and water surfaces. It is intended to: Monitor terrain areas and detect moving objects at a range of up to 4 km, acquire polar coordinates of the detected objects, lay the NNP-23 Night Vision Optical Device, as well as various automatic weapons (7.62 mm PKMSN Machine Gun, 12.7 mm NSVS Machine Gun and AGS-17 Grenade Launcher, etc.) on the target in poor optical visibility; Guard territories in automatic mode and generate light and sound warning signals upon detecting an intruder. The warning signal can be transmitted to the Control Post via radio channel. The radar provides acquisition, tracking of the selected target, its type identification by the operator using head-phones. Operational modes and algorithms can be customized in accordance with the real situation. Low weight of the FARA-1 Radar makes it particularly attractive for ground forces, rapid deployment and law enforcement units. The radar can be installed on a tripod, a tree, a building roof, a watch towers, or it can be carried on a strap. It can also be mounted on ground vehicles.” This latest technology should boost the Syrian Arab Army’s defenses; especially, against the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) terrorists that attack at night.

"Russian academician on nuclear potential of Armenia

In the chain of countries, Azerbaijan-Armenia-Turkey, Armenia is the unique one to create a weapon that will put everything in its place. “We should have nuclear weapons. There is no alternative, we have to protect ourselves,” stated former Prime Minister of Armenia, MP Hrant Bagratyan reflecting to the resumption of hostilities in Nagorno Karabakh.

This call has been received with enthusiasm both in Armenia and abroad, mainly in the Armenian Diaspora, but the actual evaluation of the possibility of nuclear weapons has not been announced yet.

Armenia has always had a progressive school of nuclear physics since the days of the Soviet Union, and today it continues to hold a leading position in the industry, but that’s not enough to create a nuclear weapon, – says world-famous Russian nuclear physicist Yuri Hovhannisyan.

“First of all, huge funds are need, which Armenia lacks, but in today’s world the military power of the country is determined not by nuclear weapons, but by local ultra-precise weapons, based on the most modern scientific methods of laser and electronic technology,” told RUSARMINO Yuri Hovhannisyan.

According to the physicist, the problem of nuclear weapons relates not to the lack of experts or potential of the country’s nuclear school, but it’s determined by the absence of necessary finances.

Yuri Hovhannisyan – Soviet and Russian scientist, specialist in the field of experimental nuclear physics, Academician of Russian Academy of Sciences, a foreign member of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia. Hovhannisyan is the co-discoverer of heavy elements in the periodic table: the 104th element – Rutherford, the 105th element – Dubna, the 106th elements – Seaborgium, the 107th element – Boriy, recognized as scientific discoveries and included into the State register of the USSR discoveries. In February 2016, it became known that under the leadership of legendary scientist the periodic table was once again expanded, including 4 new elements."

ՆԱՏՕ-ն թույլ չտվեց Թուրքիային դուրս գալ վահանից
            Lragir.am

The Emergencies Ministry has ruled out a gas explosion as the possible cause of the blast as the bus had been running on diesel fuel."

At least two people have been killed and seven injured after a bus exploded in central Yerevan, Armenia’s capital, according to the national emergencies ministry.
